This residenza has only three rooms and we stayed there as a group which was ideal. Ask for rooms 1 or 2 which are very large and full of character and superior to room 3 at the back of the building although this can be taken as a double or family room. Room 2 has a splended painted ceiling - look at their website. Breakfast is available by arrangement - an extra 10 euros per couple and is served in the room - this was fine and avoided having to go out although there is a cafe which serves continental breakfast items a couple of doors away. The piazza has four lively restaurants - we enjoyed eating in them all and there are others within easy walking distance. There is a local market - cheap clothing and fruit, flowers and vegetables every day except Sunday in the piazza. Some of the people frequenting the piazza could be considered 'undesirable' but we did not encounter any problems going out at night. It is close to the Pitti Palace and Ponte Vecchio and all the main sights are 'walkable'. The tourist double decker and the Line D public bus passes the piazza.
