Pros:

DISTANCE: About 15 min walks from the Firenze SMN Termini (train station), so you don’t need a cab. 10 sec walk to the piazza del duomo which is the main attraction of Firenze.
(tip: it's right next to the Gucci store. The sign for the B&B is not so big)

BREAKFAST: good, but not the best I ate in my trip (an automatic coffee machine)

BUSINESS CHAIN OR INDIVIDUAL OWNER: You don’t feel like being in a business chain. Very personal interaction with the staff and owner. Their English is good, you won’t have any problem to ask for questions.

ROOMS: About rooms, bigger than other rooms that we have in Firenze, clean, bed comfortable, smell good in the place, AC working pretty well, no noise from outside, special view from our bathroom to the Duomo.
They have a terrasse that you can go whenever you want. You have the view of the Duomo which is pretty great!

BATHROOM:: They are a bit small, but shower place for 1 and not 2 without hairdryer. No fan to remove the moisture in the bathroom,
Reservation online without any problem.

Cons:
No place to park your car, if you have a car.

We enjoyed a very pleasant 2 night stay at the Residenza Giotto in May, 2013. It is in a great location, right in the center of Florence by the Duomo. You can easily walk to all major sites from this location. Our room had a view of the Duomo. The room was average size for Italy with ample place for clothes, a refrigerator, and TV. Everything was very clean. There is a terrace where you can have breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine when you return in the afternoon. From the terrace there is a great view of the Duomo. The staff were very accommodating. We would definitely return here next time we are in Florence.

An unbeatable view from the bed/window of the facade of the Duomo and Campanile...and quiet, clean with good a/c. Had to arrive by 5 because there is no staff after that. Difficult to find as it is just a plaque on the wall with a door buzzer. Passed it twice & had to ask the doorman at the Savoy for directions twice. Silvia was very welcoming.

In the morning, the breakfast offered was disappointing. Our group was 4 adults...no fresh or canned fruit offered, 2 croissants out for the taking. Very limited in selection and in quantity. The terrace has an amazing view of the Duomo, so if you stay here, perhaps shop for your own breakfast foods and augment the offerings and take advantage of the view.

We stayed 2 nights here. It was the perfect location for all the sights. I loved walking into the Piazza with the Duomo and eating breakfast on their terrace with the Duomo view was amazing as well. When we arrived there was an issue with our ac in the room we had but it was handled before we got back to the room after some sight seeing and they made sure it worked before we settled in. The elevator was a little creeky but worked fine. I saw reviews that this was hard to find, literally right next to the Gucci shop, not hard at all! Perfect little spot right in the heart of it all!

Absolutely the perfect place to stay in Florence! Would definitely stay here again if returning to Florence. The view from our room was amazing! Barbara and Sylvia were so lovely to work with. They helped provide a wonderful breakfast each morning. Loved it!

We enjoyed 5 nights in Florence at this property and were so pleased about the quality of service we received, the central location of the hotel, the expansive Italian breakfast, and the overall value for our money. Silvia and Barbara were exceptionally friendly and helpful; I felt that they were part of our family. I will be recommending this B&B to anyone I know heading to Florence. It was fabulous!
