This B&B is just a 15 minute walk from the train station and located just around the corner from the Duomo (literally, I can see the dome from my balcony). It's run by Mariano, a very nice little Italian man. He was so helpful in getting us reservations for the 2 busiest museums (the Accademia and Uffizi) and went out of his way in giving us a fantastic deal for our room (the rates depend on the time of year, but we stayed at the end of May). Compared to our stay in Rome (both in the center of the cities and both rated 2 stars), this is 100% better in terms of quality and value (we paid 100 euros less for 3 days).
The deluxe double room we stayed in had high ceilings with double pane french doors. The private bathroom was large, such that 2 people could be in there at the same time without having to do a dance to get out of there. The bed was quite comfy-- the sheets and down comforter made me feel like I was at home. The breakfast wasn't elaborate-- you got a choice of coffees, croissants, jams and yogurt. But it was served in your room at a time that you chose.
You can't go wrong with this bed and
breakfast! Stay here and you'll love it!
