“Really Bad Experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

The food in the restaurant Torcicoda was by far the worst eating out experience I have had whilst travelling anywhere in Italy.
The Burrata and Pasta were both soulless and tasteless, and then suddenly the place was full up with a load of Taiwanese tourists eating a set lunch of a slice of pizza, a scoop of pasta followed by a bit of steak which was the colour of a shade of grey.
And the restaurant purports to export their produce all over the world......What a joke....!

Dear Sir,
I'm verry sad that you didn't enjoy your lunch in our Osteria.
We always try to please our guest as good as we can, giving the best service and food possible! This is why we choose hig end ingredients, as for our Burrata Pugliese that arrives twice a week directly from Puglia!
Your pasta dish, Fettuccine Cacio e Pepe, can be anything but tasteless, it has been more often argued to be too strong in taste actually!
However if for you a group of 8 Japanese having a tasting menu looks like a load of Taiwanese tourist having a set lunch...well, i guess ther's not much more to say!
best regards

“Nice restaurant great ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

I was recommended Cucina Torcicoda by the concierge at the hotel. This is what you call modern Tuscan dining. Food was great and the ambiance was very inviting.

“great experience, atmosphere and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

I live in Florence and it's not easy sifting through the touristy restaurants and find those that are particularly special. I love the atmosphere and menu to match. I have been here twice and each time i've eaten very well. I have eaten in the Osteria both times. I had the appetizer burrata and proscuitto...the proscuitto was one some of the best i've eaten ever and i've eaten a lot of proscuitto since i've lived here for 11 years already. Service was very good too and just an overall pleasant experience.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

Kudos to Frederico, what a wonderful place. A young team running the place led by Frederico, their enthusiasm is great. The food, wine selection and service stand out. There are a bunch of options within the place, one can chose the pizzeria, or the formal sit down, or the underground private area if your group is large enough. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to enjoy a dinner at leisure.

“Very, very nice... a great room.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

These guys are really trying and should be congratulated for doing something different in Florence.

This is a big restaurant with three distinct areas, Osteria, Pizza and Fine dining. I have been to all three and they are all good.

The decor is updated Tuscan and it is obvious that the staff has been trained.

A pleasure.
