I am an American who lived in Florence for 4 years, and the secretive Vasari Corridor was almost never open to the public during all that time. Now living in London, I saw the opportunity to visit the Corridor with Florence Pass and jumped at the chance. When I unexpectedly had to visit Florence I called with only 3 days notice to see if there was room for me on the tour. Although the group was full, Maurizio very graciously allowed me to join the tour, knowing that I was in the city for only a weekend. The tour was absolutely wonderful, very informative, interesting and with many moments of laughter. Maurizio spoke for 2 hours straight, revealing many little known details about the paintings and the artists, history, background and incidents surrounding the masterpieces and Corridor itself. He is so truly knowledgeable and has certainly done much research to uncover such fascinating anecdotes. His lovely wife was also very friendly, personable and made us feel very welcomed. I am returning to Florence in a couple of months and have already made plans with my friend there to visit the Corridor again with Maurizio and Florence Pass. Don't miss the chance to see a very hidden part of Florence's grand history----book your tours with Florence Pass!
