“Hidden Gem in Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

I echo most of the reviews of this restaurant by saying how it's by far one of the best places to eat in Italy. The environment is very intimate, almost as if you are a guest in someone's house. The couple who own the restaurant are extremely cordial and welcoming. The food is fresh, fantastic and unbelievable. A great selection of wines as well. And the amazing thing is - it's not even very expensive.

I highly recommend the blueberry cheesecake if they have it available. You will want to eat the entire pie.

“Everything you could possibly hope for and more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Wow this place is wonderful , the couple who run this tiny restaurant are amazing . The food was absolutely delicious our party had a good variety of the menu , the platter of meats and cheese with spreading beer was amazing , the bruschetta was delicious and the bresaola the best I have ever had . We followed with lasagne and ravioli both dishes were amazing . W finished with a tasting plate of chocolate and blueberry cheesecake both were delicious . Everything was explained so well to us ,wine was divine and the cost was so reasonable . The care that this couple put in to their tiny restaurant is wonderful they take time with you and put such effort in to everything they produce . If you are coming to Florence book ahead you just can't let this one slip by . Truly fantastic .
If they are fully booked ask for a take away I saw some Italian locals taking away their meal.

“The real deal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

My husband and I were lucky enough to eat in this restaurant and although it was the cheapest meal during our stay in Florence it was by far the best. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming and we immediately felt relaxed. However the main highlight was the food. The high quality and home cooked food showcased a genuine appreciation for ingredients. We both had the ragu tortellini for our main course and it is a dish I will remember for a long time. I can't recommend this place enough. Get involved!

“Intimate, Incredible, Hand Made Perfection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We walked by this place twice because it was so small (there are only 3 tables), but once we found it, we were in for one of the best meals we ever had! The owner came to our table to let us know about the specials for the evening. Everything was hand made and incredible. The pesto lasagna and the tortellini ragu were two of the best pastas we have ever had. Each course was paired with an incredible glass of wine. There aren't many choices on the menu because it is such a small place, but if you just go with whatever they tell you to get, you will be in for a true dining treat!

By far the best place we ate in Italy. The service is great and the food is better. It is a small space but it really adds the experience. It was so great we at there the next night.
