“Top notch in every way.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Absolute center of the action in Florence. Calming interior and decor, pleasant staff and that special something... everything a boutique hotel should be. The breakfast is above the Italian norm and the food available is way above average.

Room Tip: All the rooms are larger than average and giant compared to many in Florence.

The hotel is in a perfect location, less than 2 minutes walk to the Duomo yet down a quiet street. The service is impeccable.

Rooms were extremely large; very high ceilings. Very clean, large bathroom, with a separate, oh-so-modern all-glass shower stall located outside of the bathroom. The room was almost perfect except for little oddities here and there -- for a brand new hotel, the work seemed incomplete. Marks on the wall (the number "12" was clearly visible on one wall), a large crack where the bathroom sink was supposed to meet the wall, cracked railings... it may be just the settling-in period and anyway these things were relatively minor, at least for now.

For another example, the hallways on the guest floors were immaculate, but the floors on the ground floor seemed to have a layer of dust on them, as if they hadn't been cleaned in some time.

All things considered, the location as well as the superb service greatly outweigh the little details. I would stay here again.

this newly opened boutique property is in a perfect location, a 2 min walk from the duomo. i booked their smallest 'standard' room and it was gigantic! my friend had an 'executive' room and it was enormous - at least the size of a junior suite at any american hotel. our room ceilings were 12+ feet high, and the hotel's common areas are stylishly decorated with a modern vibe. only negative is the incomprehensible computerized controls in the room for the A/C, heat, and fan - so 'high tech' it's absurd. all staff members were friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast was included in the room rate, and strong/good wifi was free. i'd definitely recommend this property to others and would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: i stayed in 103 & loved the high ceilings

I loved this hotel so much, that I almost did not want to leave it in order to see Florence. Perfect location. Beyond amazing breakfast -- delicious and decadent. The modern decor was lovely and so much more than what I expected, given the very reasonable rates. Great bathroom! Clean rooms. And most of all, the staff was the best that I have ever encountered through all my travels, helpful, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. Pick this hotel if you are traveling to Florence!

Room Tip: Some top floor rooms have amazing views!

This new hotel has a lot of competition; the contemporary decor and young well trained staff are great pluses for its future. Outside of the public areas, the rooms are themed in white and uncluttered. The public areas feature modern bronze sculptures and other contemporary art prints and objet.
On the plus side, there're many things one might expect from a four star establishment: comfortable beds, decent cotton sheets, nice toiletries, lots of cupboard storage space. The bathroom offered a walk-in shower and under-floor heating.
A couple of slight minuses could be cited, at least in the single room (108): no coat hangers or space for them in the wardrobe, just shelving in cupboards; a few black scuff marks around the light switches, even more noticeable on the white painted walls; the off-square shaped room was fitted with a fitted headboard wall-buffer unit which wasn't fitted to the wall and hence moved with the pillow against it. Minor quibbles possibly. One further minor point was some electrical wiring above the cupboard taped to the wall (photo) (This could have been a new-opening quick fix which has been overlooked).
I didn't experience the spa. The breakfast was very nice in a lovely room with a great and huge modern mirror. There are many options from hams and cheeses to bacon and eggs (still hot at 9.30a.m.) to dwarf croissants and seed rolls to fruit. It is a pity such a nice place sees fit to rely on an automatic coffee machine serving rather terrible coffee (I imagine the mechanics of serving every diner a fresh bar-quality coffee were too ambitious upon opening; surely now they have found their stride after four months, one of the serving staff could be trained up to use a proper espresso machine. This is Italy, after all).
Overall, a really nice establishment, made all the sweeter by the deal I got on the room.
The location is wonderful: walking to the end of the street one can see the Duomo dominating the piazza.

Excellent service - Excellent location, great for the price!!!! I was gladly surprised by everyone in the hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms, the attention of all personnel, just amazing!! - I did not have a chance to use the Spa, but it looked great. Y would give 5 stars to my whole experience, breakfast is fantastic too.

After check-in, staff showed me the facilities around the hotel and inside the room, with detailed demostration on the air-con control and the advanced TV and multimedia devices. There are TV programs for various languages. This hotel is highly recommended for travellers from Asia, as that are TV programs predefined for travellers from Asia and electric kettle and tea is also provided.
It's less than 10 minutes walk to train station, close to duomo and central markets. There are many restaurants, drug store and book store nearby.
I would surely try the SPA when I come to Florence with this Hotel next time.
