“A must for fashion lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Really enjoyed this surprise. You will be amazed at what Gucci have diversified it's brand into over the many years including the Gucci Seville car, the many equestrian products, picnic hampers, tennis racket covers etc etc

The clothes, the old photos, the sheer history and beauty of the brand are encaptured well within this museum space. There's a small restaurant on the groud floor too, with a work/study space attached for the researchers and studious- minded.

“Unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

We really enjoyed our visit to the Museo Gucci. What a great display of the evolution of the brand. Admission was 6 Euros. Self tour on three floors (I believe some displays were not open). Each display features something different. Presentations included cloths, bags, luggage, china, sporting goods, jewelry, and a limited edition of Cadillac blinged out in Gucci interior and exterior. Throughout the floors are photos of famous people and celebrities. The top floor features dresses worn by celebrities at the Emmy awards and Cannes Film Festival including Hilary Swank, Nomi Watts, Kate Beckensale, and Camilla Belle. The security keeps a watchful eye at all times, to the point of being annoying.

Each floor has complimentary keepsake cards (available in several languages) that explain the presentation of the room.

There is a gift shop with a unique book collection and gifts featuring the famous Gucci logo. I found the prices to be a bit outrageous. A canvas shopping tote was over 100 Euros. There is also a small selection of Gucci purses available for purchase, I found the selection to be rather limited compared to the other stores in Florence.

While we didn’t eat or drink in the café, we did look at the menu and found the prices to be very reasonable.

“High Security Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Nice location, bought some classic Gucci loafers in the gift-store, great art-books, and cool art installation. The admission to the museum was free with purchase of said loafers, and we thought it was fun, kitchy, thing to do, so why not! Nobody was there, just us, so we had fun seeing the gucci cadillac, and bicycle, and tennis racquets. The modern art installation (one room, 3 works) was outrageously cool, by Paul Fryer. Oh, and the last thing -- there were more security guards with earphones and radios than the president or the pope.
