“Great hotel - would stay there again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2006

We wanted a hotel to sleep in for a whole week starting on Dec 5th. Concordia turned out cheap and really good for our needs. It was quite (we had room 28) and the room was quite large.
Breakfast was a selection of bread and some other pre-packed Croissants and biscuits. Nothing special but about the same I would have at home. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. If there is anything to complain about is the bedside tables which seemed to be small and flimsy.
All in all it was good, especially when one compares the price to other hotels in the area. I would definetly stay there again.

We had a very tough time finding the hotel since it was down a very narrow alley. When we arrived the hotel was put made up of a variety of different size rooms. It looks like a hostel or some place that college kids may stay. We had two rooms. One room was very spacious, clearly the room that was on the website, but the window didn't lock out to the courtyard. The other was upstairs, much smaller with just a tub in it. Compared to other hotels we stayed in in Rome, Venice and Bolzano, I just didn't feel nearly as safe. It was clean enough, but could use to be updated. The positive side is that the location is close to the market and close to the Duomo. So everything is in walking distance.

We chose this hotel due to its central location - very close to the main tourist attractions and within walking distance from the railway station.

It is situated down a narrow alley, a lttle bit difficult to find and the alley itself is not too inviting but once you enter the hotel and haul your luggage up one flight of stairs the hotel itself is quite acceptable. We had a lovely spaciious bedroom with shower room and separate toilet. Everything was very clean. There is a small courtyard where you can have your breakfast or you may dine inside. Breakfast consisted of tea/coffee, cereal, egg, juice, bread, etc. Our room was very quiet and had air conditioning. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I would certainly recommend this hotel - the situation is perfect and there is a little bar/cafe only a minutes walk away where you can sit outside and watch the world go by as you down your night cap.

I would never stay here again. They wouldnt let us keep our pet monkey, Norman, with us! He had to stay downstairs in the kitchen and couldnt snuggle up in our bed with us. We missed him. Also, I told a guy who was staying there about our dilemma with Norman, and he told us that he stayed there a year ago and couldnt keep his armadillo there (which let me say, was in a cage!)

Breakfast was okay, and the people were nice. But, hey, no monkey? No likey.

Don't mistake the drag outside for this lovely hotel. It is a bit hard to find, on the side alley, but you'll be pleasantly surprised at the inside. The lady who checked us in was really accomondating, letting us change rooms to a lower floor since we have so much luggage (no elevator). The rooms were big, private bathroom was large, direct dialing phone, tv. Very clean and modern. The only drawback (or advantage) depending on how you view it, is the location near the market. In the morning you might be bothered by the vendors setting up stalls but the double windows are extremely good at blocking the noise. The Air conditioning helps since you can just leave the windows closed.I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
