Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good. It's a little expensive, but everything in Italy is expensive. I would definitely stay here again.

My Sicilian grandmother always said the Italian people were warm and friendly. No need to look any further..Hotel Davanzati was exactly that. This family run hotel was clean, central to the museums and the family was extremely friendly. Fabrizio and Tomaso were very helpful in securing reservations for dinner, tours or museums (reservations a must at all museums). We will return to Florence and Hotel Davanzati.

This charming, family-run hotel in the heart of Florence was everything we expected and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt we were in the right place.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, and included both a DVD player and computer for our use. Breakfast each day was lovely, with a good assortment of baked goods and seasonal fresh fruit, along with our choice of espresso, cappuccino, or "American" coffee. During a "happy hour" each evening, our hosts poured complimentary prosecco and wine along with tasty snacks.

Best of all was the friendly, helpful service from everyone in the hotel. Prior to our arrival, they arranged museum tickets and provided suggestions for our stay. Throughout our time in Florence, they recommended restaurants, sites, and shops for our visit. The hotel's location is within walking distance of virtually all Florence's major attractions.

While at the hotel, don't miss the interesting (and free!) museum in the Palazzo Davanzati next door.

This place is a jewel! We are so so glad to have stayed at this hotel. The father/son team of Fabrizio and Tommasso made our stay totally enjoyable and their service, personalities, and efficiency were unparalleled in all the hotels we stayed at in Italy. The happy hour of vino and delicious, simple snacks helped us unwind from a long day of sightseeing, transforming the lobby into a cool, romantic bar. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything necessary to make us feel safe and pampered. When we asked for restaurant recommendations they not only made the reservations, but pointed us to two of the best meals we had on our whole trip. We will always remember this hotel and hopefully will stay in it again someday!
