“Didn't worth the price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Probably one of the worst hotels we have ever been at! The location wasn't too bad, a few minutes away from the tran station and close to the historic sites, good breakfast, and friendly staffs, but we were only allowed to use the elevator if we had luggage! Once we checked in, we had to use the stairs and the hotel was on the 4th floor of that building. It's more like a bed and breakfast place than a hotel! The bathroom and shower were too small, a big person couldn't move in the shower!!! While using the shower, water ran into the bedroom!!! Such nonstandard hotel and a room!

Room Tip: Our room had a good view to the Dome.

Dear Costumer,
We would like to precise that you can reach the hotel using the lift (from the entrance to the reception), but when you arrive at the reception (3rd floor) you have to take the stairs to go on the 4th floor, but only for few steps. The lift from the 3rd to the 4th floor is only for luggage, whites and disabled people.
Regarding to the shower, they can have standard measures as carried on a shower tray classic, in these cases the measures most commonly used are those of square plates (70x70, 80x80) or rectangular (120x80, 80x100, 70x90).
If you have found a water leak in the shower, you would have told us when you were in loco: we would provided to repair it. For us is better to receive a suggestion or a criticism when we can still do somethink to improve the service.
Remaining at your disposal for each question, best regards.

Our room had a beautiful view of the piazza and the Dome and The walk to the Accdemia was about 10 minutes. Wonderful staff, great breakfast and parking garage was a five minute walk. Booked a double room which was clean, comfortable, and had good AC. . The street noise was minimal for a Saturday night and the private bath was more than adequate. For a only 70 euros, we were in the same piazza as the hotel Donetello which priced out at over 300 euros for a double room. Would highly reco
Mend for anyone who wants a great location for less than 80 euros a night

Small, friendly, great a/c., breakfast. Clean enough. Felt a little isolated yet still a good location.

The Andrea Hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from the Firenze S.M.Novella train station. It is within walking distance of all the magnificant sights and attractions in Florence too. The room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and there is a small balcony at the back of the reception area to enjoy a relaxing coffee in the morning. If you find hotel breakfasts too expensive, then I would recommend 'Flowers' cafe, only a short walk away on Via XXVII Aprile. It is local, cheap and welcoming. Although I spent more on Andrea Hotel than I usually would on a hotel, I had found in researching that the price of hotels in Florence is that bit more expensive. The main reason I opted for the Andrea Hotel was the view from the room. If you can afford it, it is definitely worth waking up to, as well as having to enjoy in the evenings. The staff were friendly and happy to make reservations for the popular gallaries, the Uffizi and Accademia. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, the only issue I had was with cost. If you're not willing to pay extra for a room with a view then it may be worth looking for something cheaper elsewhere.

This hotel was perfect...il duomo is at walking distance, the same with the central train station. Clean rooms for budget travelers, good breakfast and great price.
The Brincello restaurant is very close, try it!
I recommend Andrea hotel.

We stayed in room 4 overlooking the square during the 1st week of October, 2011. Very nice room; the staff was very helpful and breakfast was great (served granola which was a nice change). The room had very good air conditioning (i.e. quiet). The hotel was within easy walking distance of the train station, and about 10 min to the main attractions. Try the Trattoria Nerone restaurant on V. Faenza near the train station.

Great Value, good room and very nice staff. Helpful with free WiFi and a very nice common area. Good location near the station, easy to find. Close to the markets but a little further from the centre of attractions.
