We booked a superior room at this place for my girlfriend's birthday and it was a painful experience.
The lady at the front desk was fine when we checked in although it was pretty slow.
The superior room was supposed to come with a complementary fruit basket and a "special courtesy kit" but it was not in the room when we arrived (no employee ever heard of the courtesy kit and we never got anything, although it is advertised on their website).
We didn't have slippers and bathrobes either.
When heading out, we told the front desk lady that all those things were missing.
We came back 2 hours later to find out that they only brought us 1 bathrobe + slippers.
We called front desk who told us that we wouldn't get our fruit basket because the kitchen was closed and that she would send someone to bring our 2nd bathrobe + slippers.
The man who brought it was very rude, saying that we were complaining too much (!!) and that noone would be available until tomorrow if we want to complain more.
The room itself is ok. The bed is good, the bathroom is not very functionnal since you will have a pool of water on the floor everytime you shower. The air conditionning system works really well but is also very loud.
One wall of the room was very damaged, the bathtub was not very well cleaned (hair).
We stayed for 3 nights and they never refilled the bath products (shampoo, conditioner, ...) so we had to call every day to get some.
The breakfast is disappointing. The meat is barely ok, the pastries are tasteless, they didn't offered (hard boiled) eggs daily and one of the egg we cracked wasn't even cooked properly.
The only good point is the very good hot chocolate.
I gave this hotel a 2 because it is well located, only a few minutes away from the Duomo.
All in all it was a terrible experience and propably one of the worst hotel I have ever been to.
Please do yourself a favor and find another hotel, this one doesn't deserve more than a couple of stars.
