“Stylish and super modern.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

I loved this hotel; it was very quirky, with arty décor and very modern room features- the lighting, the quirky colour scheme and excellent and very effective air conditioning.

The location- like others have said, isn't super central, but it's a good place to me. About twenty minutes until the town centre, at a regular pace, but it's a great route- straight down one road full of restaurants and patisseries and little boutiques.

About thirty seconds from the hotel, to the left, is a really nice supermarket also, which is very handy for buying water/snacks.

The breakfast was fine, but not spectacular- no coffee machine, for example, but plenty of other things:
Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, breads, buns, jams, salads, cereals, pastries {filled croissants, plain croissants, jam tarts} fruit, etc. But the cake each morning was always stale.

There is a free shuttle {which you book the night before/in the morning} which runs into town straight to the train station, which was very useful.

I would definitely return, and recommend this hotel to others. I especially loved the sky cinema {in English, yay!} which was free of charge.

Internet usage was pricey though {3 euros an hour} But there is a café down the road called Buonamico with very friendly owners, free Wi-Fi and cappuccinos for 1 euro {or coffee for 70 cents} so I recommend going there for internet!

One last thing; the staff at the front desk were truly fantastic- very friendly, helpful, and incredibly efficient.

Great ultra modern hotel. Good breakfast selection. Staff more than helpful, we had a small problem with our room and they bent over backwards to rectify it. Location bit far from centre of Florence but cost of the hotel reflects this. Definitely stay there again.

I was lucky to bag this 4 star hotel on Priceline for less than USD100 for my quick Florence stay and it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Italy through Priceline! The location itself is a bit off the main shopping area (15-20minutes walk) but the scenic walk along the river makes up for it.

The hotel looks like a converted traditional mansion slightly off the road behind some non-descript residential buildings but step inside and you are enveloped by modern quirky art. The lobby oozed boutique hotel funk while the room screamed boudouir sexy red with sparkles - you can't miss the see-through glass shower wall panel on your immediate right as you enter the room. The windows are small so the focus is internal: huge LCD TV, red upholstered walls with sparkly LED starlights, etc.

Breakfast was the bomb - a nice table in the courtyard in the early summer morning snacking on the yummy buffet was one of the highlights of the stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view as some rooms face walls of neighbouring houses. From google maps, the...

Great hotel. Would defo stay again. Not one bad word to say.
Very funky decor, very clean comfy beds, great staff and oversll a perfect swanky hotel.
We ate in a very local restaurant and it was clearly more for the lovals but it was the best food and very cheap! however the reception directed us to a restaurant that was very expensive, fairly far away too.
Yes the hotels a bit far out but we got the free shuttle to the train station which is near all the sights, then took a leisurely walk back to the hotel or got a taxi which were always very expensive considering the distance. (14-20euro for roughly 2miles)

Tips:

Upgrade your room for 25e a night and receive free wi if and free mini bar and have an amazzzzing room.

Take advantage of the free shuttle.

Do go up piazzalle Michelangelo for breathtaking views and enjoy a 7euro cocktail in the lovely bar up there.

Don't bother with the gardino boboli as they're not much to look at.

If your after a good evening out clubbing, go to FLO as its a great open air night club. Do take plenty of cash as drinks are standard prices 4e shot, 7e mixer, 10e cocktail.

Good prices arnt bad at all dependent on what you want and where u go but generally a carbanara/ spag Bol/ arribiatta will cost between 7-12euro a pizza in a restaurant will cost about the same. However a pizza in the street in Pisa cost 3euro and just as nice.
Beware that the very nice restaurants along the river will charge about 4euro per person table tax.

Sight seeing: 2-3 hours in Pisa and 6 hours in Florence is doable (without museums/gallery's)

The local pool is nice to cool off and it seems like quite the place to be in the evenings as they have music and a bar.

Do download the guide pal app on your iPhone as the offline map is awesome when navigating around.... No roaming charges!

Pisa airport do store your case for 7euros so do go to Pisa for a few hours, Do NOT walk it's NOT 30 mins.... More like 45mins. Jump on a bus!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved this unique and funky hotel! The hotel lobby, rooms and bathrooms were extremely modern and clean. The buffet breakfast in the morning was amazing and had a variety of options. Definitely the best breakfast at any hotel we stayed at in Italy. Each person we met at this hotel was extremely friendly from the front desk all the way to the cleaning service. The front desk staff were also extremely approachable and helpful. The location was great as well which was only a 15 minute walk to the city center. They also provided a free shuttle bus service to the city center a few times a day which was an added bonus. It is also very close to a lot of cute and yummy restaurants. If you're staying at this hotel and want the best tasting pasta in all of Italy go to Ir Tegame which is only a 5 minute walk or less from Una Vittora. We would definitely stay here again!!!

The terrace is perfect and it is quite calm. Breakfast is great. The rooms are decorated in an unusual way with sometimes strange choices (a wall with a lot of led lights). A minus point is that there is no free wifi wich is a pitty of a hotel of this range.

The traditional façade of the Hotel hides a funky hotel with superb and fun rooms. The staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too difficult. Breakfast is traditional Italian continental. The bar was good and the bar staff know how to make good cocktails!
The hotel is about 15 minute walk in to the centre of the city, which you can walk to along the river with fabulous view of the city or along the traditional Italian town street, with local life going on. There are 3 fabulous restaurants to eat on the same road as the hotel, full of locals, at much more reasonable prices, than in the centre, with much better service!
Would I stay there again? Absolutely.
