My wife and two friends stayed at Villa La Sosta for 3 nights in early October 2008. The rooms were very big, clean and very comfortable. The private, gated drive made it easy to come and go with our car or on foot. But what really made this 1820 villa so charming and memorable were our two hosts; Antonio and his sister Giuseppina (Josie). They both spoke very good English and provided some of the BEST recommendations on restaurants (Pane & Olio – quaint surroundings and friendly owner who makes her own digestivo you have to try) and gelato. You MUST try Gelateria de’ Medici’s chocolate and roses gelato!
Josie also makes homemade purses and bags using fabric she has collected from her travels to Africa and Samalia. I bought a purse for my daughter and she loved it.
