“20 min walk to center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Hotel was OK, big rooms ( and we had to change rooms 3 times due to the fact that it was 4 people , and we had 2 rooms for 1 night), big bathrooms, not the best matresses, OK breakfast. A bit lock of info about public transportation, I wish they had a local map with bus stops locations and schedual. We had to run to train station because front dest told me that bus ride will take 10-15 min ( same as walking), bus never came.....When we took bus to Piazza Michelangelo we also had to wait over 30 min.( I understand it is not up to hotel, but it is easier if they explain how transportation work)

We spent a couple of nights there and whilst it was a little off the beaten track, it was still only a 10 minute walk into the centre. The rooms were inexpensive, clean, comfortable and the reception staff very helpful. The breakfast was a little basic but given we were restricted to mainly 3 star hotels on a city hop break, I thought this hotel was very good value.

Stayed 2 nights in Firenze in July 2013. The hotel is an average hotel, a bit dated, a little further from the tourist sites than I expected, but has a few bothersome features that make it feel on the cheap side. It was borderline being ranked average in my mind but I'd say you can find as good or better hotel in a better area and closer to the main attractions in Firenze.

The room was ok, plenty of space, though the furniture was dated and had a feeling of being a bit old. The room had a mini-bar, a pay for use laptop, did NOT have free wifi, and you had to put your key in the slot in the wall to get the electricity (air conditioning) to work. The first night we were there, the front desk didn't properly activate the air conditioning in our room and it wouldn't stay running even with the room key in the slot. Probably not a problem any other time, but it was exceedingly hot given it was summer. The bathroom was modern and functional, though small.

The common areas of the hotel were very dated and not in a good way. The breakfast was sufficient with a decent selection of foods.

The location was not as close as I thought to the sites of Firenze. There isn't much in the way of restaurants or shops near by the hotel and takes a bit of walking through just ok neighborhoods until you get to the nicer area of shops and restaurants. We saw many 3 star hotels that looked as nice or nicer much further south and closer to the action.

After a bitter-sweet experience in Rome's B&B, we were a little apprehensive about this hotel in Florence. But we were so happy once we checked into the hotel. Quick and professional check-in, clean room and English channels on the telly.Room service was great and served us tea even at 12 in the night. Good spread in breakfast with a range of options. Is hardly a walk from the station and even to Palazzo Vecchio which is sorta the hub. The only downside is the no free WiFi but you can still pay a nominal fee and access it.
Loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a map at the reception where they will mark all important places to visit. Also make sure yo...

Very nice 3 star Hotel . The Location was very nice. Just 5 minutes by bus to the main Station. The rooms are nice and clean. The rooms have an antique look . The beds are very comfortable . The bathroom was clean but very small. The atmosphere in the Hotel was very calm and Relaxing.
The breakfast was ok. They don´t offer variety of breads or cheese ......
In short , I will say a good Hotel for travellers :)

This hotel is within walking distance of the centre of Florence. Staff were very friendly and the room we had was massive, it could have slept at least 8 people! There is a small car park to the rear which is handy and costs €12 a day. Breakfast was included and was very good. There were quite a lot of school groups there but the noise didn't bother us. Would stay here again.

Stayed just over a week ago , front staff were ok, laptop on room was handy , but fondest memory is of the lovely lady that served us for breakfast, she was a gem. The rooms were good size and clean. Good location off you don't want to be in the thick of it
