Dear Customer,

Thank you for your time spending to write a review.

We are a little surprised that you addressed your words only to the refrigerator without speaking about the rooms, the hotel, the staff or the service.

As you can see on our web description we do not have refrigerator, we wrote it several times our feedback on Tripadvisor. Vending machine are available on the floors.

By the way, our bar is available of keeping guest's items in the fridge during the stay.

We regret that for a reason so trivial the stay has not been positive, we hope to see you soon for a new better experience

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015

We went to Florence for my birthday and the hotel was amazing. Excellent service, really friendly and very clean. On my birthday they sent bubbly up and invited us down for a lemoncello on the house. It was a real pleasure to stay here. Thank you.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies which doesn't have an excellent view but really nice to just sit outsi...

Compared to the place we just stayed at in Rome, this was a step up - especially since the place in Rome charged exorbitant fees for wifi. But to call this place an "Internet Hotel" is a bit of a joke. I will be lucky to get through this review without the wifi dropping out. There are several routers throughout the building and you must pick one with the best signal, but the signals from the ones near us bounce up and down, even at 3am as I write this. Family staying at the other end of the hall have had better luck, but the passcodes have had to be replaced for both of us. Don't plan to look at any video or data rich sites from here and good luck uploading your photos. Not convenient or a good experience around this. You will get a much better wifi experience from any restaurant or gelato shop in Florence.
That said, we found the staff pleasant and somewhat helpful (except if you ask the older gentleman on the overnight shift about wifi - lol). When they don't appear to have the time or immediate answer, they apparently point to the free computers nearby.
A big selling point is location - across from the train station. This came with some street noise, but not unreasonable, especially when you are extremely tired after walking all around the main attractions of Venice, which begin 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Breakfast was pretty decent, with scrambled eggs, toast, yogurt and other options. Again, much better than our Rome experience. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable (although, like another reviewer said - pushing 2 singles together is odd). We liked the long bathtub.
We were not expecting too much and we did not spend too much time in the hotel over about 3 days. Florence was terrific and aside from the wifi, this place was very adequate.

Gloomy hotel next to the train station, loud and unwelcoming. We stayed 2 nights, and twice was provided wrong room key upon coming back from sight seeing. It was quite difficult to sleep due to loud outside sounds, and weird bathroom unit played its part in nose pollution as well.

To be honest, I was disappointed when I entered my single room. Maybe it was allocated in an older wing of the hotel because the bathroom was at least two decades old and the room had definitely seen better days. It looked like a mashup of old and new. The door also didn't seemed very secure as it looked like it was protruding out. Like most hotels, the walls are rather thin as I could heard the plumbing whenever other guests next door shower or use the toilet! However, there were also some positives which sort of grew on me after a couple of days! And I think to be fair to the hardworking folks at the hotel, I should also highlight them.

Pros:
1. The location is really convenient and diagonally opposite the Firenze S.M.N train station.
2. As a solo female traveller, I also felt safe staying in this hotel even though I mentioned that the door was protruding out and didn't look very secure. I had no security issues during my stay.
3. The staff are friendly and professional. Everyone I encountered from check in to the chambermaids, breakfast servers and checkout, they were all smiles and buongiornos! There was an issue with a sink plug and once notified, the staff got into it right away.
4. Room was clean and I felt that they did a good job in cleaning the room effectively.
5. Surprisingly, the single bed was ok. Not too hard or soft.
6. Price wise, it was reasonable given that Florence is rather expensive. It helps to also travel in off peak season!
7. I liked the breakfast because they had scrambled eggs and baked beans! Their croissants were also fresh! It had more variety as compared to other hotels I had stayed in Sorrento and Venice

Cons
1. Thin walls, but I had the same issue with a previous hotel whose staff were not as friendly
2. Outdated bath/shower and no caddy to place your shower stuff like cleanser, soap etc
3. Inconsistent wifi, and having to log in/out and given that they call themselves an Internet hotel!
4.Overall feeling that the hotel has seen better days. Though vintage lovers may like the 60s retro staircase.

If you are not fussy or have high expectations, this place isn't all that bad. Perhaps if you book a double or superior, you may get the rooms in the refurbished wing which will cost more, but maybe nicer and more luxurious than mine. I can only speak from my own experience in a single room. Bear in mind this is an average hotel in terms of facilities, has inconsistent wifi and will most likely meet a budget traveler's basic accommodation needs - nothing more, nothing less. However there are also positives which I believe warrant an extra star!

Room Tip: Maybe request for rooms that have been refurbished. It may only be available for the doubles or supe...

The staff was okay. It was strange they made us pay the city tax up front and in cash. No other place in Italy made us do this. I think it is hilarious they make a big deal of calling themselves an internet hotel. It is 2014. Everybody has internet. The funny thing is that their wifi was not very good. It was very slow. They did have computers in the lobby that could be used that were better. The room was a good size and clean. The problem though is that the walls are paper thin. We could not sleep because every time somebody in an adjacent room used the bathroom we could here them and the plumbing as if we were right next to them. One of our neighbors had a cough which kept us up all night. We could also hear the train and traffic all night. We did not get any sleep. Also has Europe ever heard of a queen or full mattress instead of two crappy twins pushed together?
The location was convenient being so close to the train and the breakfast was decent but I would not stay here again considering the main point of getting a room is to sleep and that is almost impossible here.

Dear Guest,

We are very sorry that your stay was not according with your expectations.

We were surprised of your review but we are very sad that you have not informed us about your problems

How you can read from other reviews, we are always available to satisfy the guest's requests, changing rooms according with the availability on several occasion.

Regarding the WI-FI we are glad of informing our customers, that we have installed several routers at various levels to give a stronger signal and fast but we discovered that many customers choose the signal coming from the hall that is located away from the rooms .

After this, we really thank you for your review and we hope that in the next future you will like to be our guest again so that we can make your stay to be better than the last one.

Sincerely,
Elisabetta Argento

Stayed in Hotel Delle Nazioni for one night in November. Very good location, close to Firenze's main train station, and main tourist attractions. Good value, friendly staff, large room, free breakfast. Sound insulation is bad (could hear people in other rooms on the same floor), and wifi is not consistent.
