“Lovely hotel and fantastic location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2010

I stayed at this hotel from 26/08 to 29/08. You cannot beat the position of this hotel. It is steps away from the Uffizi Gallery and also the Ponte Vechio .The Duomo, San Lorenzo, and Gallery Accademia are all within easy walking distance. I had booked a classic double room which was lovely. The marble bathroom was huge with lots of quality toiletries , a large double wardrobe with safe, a Queen size bed , a well stocked mini bar, and worth noting all the bottled water is complimentary. I was at the front of the hotel I didnt really notice the noise level outside , preffering to make full use of the air con!!
All the staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. As a woman travelling alone I felt very safe staying here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is comfortable and is in a great location. The breakfasts were plentiful and served till 11. The roof top bar is worth a visit- great views over the Duomo and the Arno. I didnt find the menu too pricey -about the same as anywhere else in Florence. The pasta dish I had was very nice. Its lovely to sit up there and soak up the atmosphere. I got a taxi from the station right to the hotel and vice versa costing about 7 euros one way. There is a lovely modern reception area and the hotel is definetly boutique in style. I had a fab 3 day trip, the weather was scorching , and I strongly recommend you stay at this hotel immersed in the heart of Florence.

This hotel is very simple, but comfortable enough. Staff very friendly and always willing to help you with information, reservations, etc. They speak English which is always very helpful in Italy. We booked an executive double room with river view, which was nice but very noisy ( it was impossible to keep the windows opened). I guess it would be better to stay at the opposite side. Location couldn´t be better- in an easy walking distance to all the important historical and cultural sites in Florence. Uffizzi is just next door.

The main thing about the hotel is its location. Right next to Ponte Vecchio, neighbouring Uffizi, on Arno embankment. You simply can't wish more.
But this terrific location means that you appear to live in the very centre of "area pedonale" (pedestrian area) and it is almost impossible to reach the hotel by car - there exists only one way there to get by car. One night parking in the hotel garage costs 35 euro - it is cheaper than municipal garages.
The hotel itself is absolutely charming: elegant interiors, especially one in the breakfast room with the ceiling almost like in the Sistine Chapel. Looking at the river you can sit there and enjoy perfect breakfast with fresh juices, different kinds of prociutto, salmon carpaccio, tastiest pastry etc.!
In the evening I would recommend to visit the hotel bar on the roof with the Duomo view and enjoy very good dinner, quite expensive though.
The staff is very responsive and friendly, especially Massimo on the 5th floor!
The rooms are nice, with very high ceilings and really huge and beautiful bathrooms which was really surprising to see in a very miniature Florence.
The hotel is definitely worth staying there.

My wife and I both enjoyed the outstanding service at this hotel. The room was excellent and superior, with plush amenities. The curteous staff was always helpful and the European-included breakfast was far beyond adequate, providing an excellent assortment and abundance of foods. We could not have asked for better accomodations or location. Bravo!!!
