Owner description: This 19th century piazza has undoubtedly the best panoramic view of Florence. The square is decorated with copies of Michelangelo's sculptures, but it's the view people come here to see.

“Best view of Florence!”

Best place to take pictures in Florence! We took the bus up and walked back down to our hotel near St Maria Novella.

“Worth the walk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

We walked along the Arno and turned right up the road/stairs. It was well worth the walk as when we reached the top, the view just took my breath away! We brought a bottle of wine and two plastic cups.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Gorgeous views of the City of Florence. We meant o bring a bottle of wine, but were saved by the snack truck. We were ok with the idea of overpaying, but a 375ml bottle of red was only 2 Euros! We went for sunset, but Because of the orientation, I recommend going for sunrise as the sun will hit the city and bridges directly - better for photos.

“Piazzale Michelangelo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

A beautiful view of Florence, a must do. We went the long route, but go thru the Vecchio bridge to the park. There's a statue of David in the park and you can see a great view of florenc. We packed a lunch and set on our way, great place.

“Stunning views of Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

A great walk/ climb to get there. The views of Florence are gorgeous from the Tuscan hills on one side and the city itself on the other. When your there, there's loads to see as well as the scenic views. Photo opportunity! Basilica San Miniato is a couple of minutes walk.
