“Excellent B&B in a great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Our experience at Dei Mori Bed and Breakfast was wonderful. The B&B is in a historic residence but with amenities that kept us rested and relaxed. We enjoyed having a nice breakfast on the small balcony each morning. The location is great - halfway between Piazza Signoria (Uffizi, Palazzo Vechio) and il Duomo, but on a lovely side street. The staff was friendly and helpful with good suggestions about restaurants, museums, etc. Even after 5 nights, I was not ready to leave and plan to return as soon as possible. If you want a large American-style hotel with fitness center, etc, perhaps you should stay in the U.S. For a taste of Italy, try the Dei Mori.

Room Tip: Our room was on the back and was very quiet. I don't know about the other rooms.

To be frank we knew nothing about Dei Mori Florence. It was recommended by friends and we always follow word of mouth suggestions. Danny and Enrico were so welcoming, friendly and dedicated to providing high standards of friendliness and hospitality of their business. As we were in Florence to attend a wedding, I needed a manicurist, hairdresser and alteration service. Their suggestions were first class. The home made bread offered as part of the breakfast fare was delicious. Although a bar operated in the evenings at street level, no noise ever encroached into our room. It was absolutely quiet in our room every evening. We were so impressed that we spent two weeks at Dei Mori La Massa in Vertelli in the Tuscan Hills east of Florence where a delightful friendship was forged with open hearted Danny at his country property. If we were staying in Florence again we wouldn't hesitate to stay at this perfectly located B and B. We only hope we get a chance to stay once again at Dei Mori La Massa some time in the future. Dei Mori also have a reduced rates arrangement with Bargello Car Parking Station only minutes away. This was invaluable to us as we were burdened with a car and the associated problem of parking it for our week in Florence.

Our short stay in B&B Dei Mori was all we hoped for.
We were welcomed very friendly and felt immediately at home.
The room was spacious, and in the living area you can meet the other guests
On top of that you are in the center of everything in Florence, wonderful location.

During my recent trip I traveled in Europe for the first time. In addition to this I was travelling alone. Dei Mori offered the perfect place to stay. The response to my initial booking request was prompt and full of all the detail an organised traveler needs.

On arrival Danny provided a personal service on sights, suggesttions and off the radar things to do.

The accomodation was a peaceful, welcoming and relaxing haven from the rigors of touring.

The central breakfast, lounge, WiFI area was delightful with travelers sharing their discoveries, ideas, support and exchanging antidotes.

All made possible by our delightful and gracious host. His suggestion to walk each AM to see Florence as the sun rose was a holiday highlight. I always grabbed a piece of frsh fruit from the bottomless fruit bowl in reception. Also the tip to visit the tiny church off the Michaelangelo Plaza for Gregorian chanting was a off the tourst map must do.

each morning we were greeting with freshly baked Dei Mori bread for breakfast.
Thank you Danny you are certainly top of my return to list.

First of all i would like to say that if i knew that it would be such a great place to stay i would stay much longer not just for a weekends. It is a splendid small hotel, better to say an italian appartment in the city center where you can find everything what your soul wants - nice rooms, homy breakfast, italian atmospere, close to all famous sightseeings and very friendly host who gave us very useful advices relates where to eat, where we can find the best icecream, where to go, some stuff about Forence history and honestly i would just prefer to sit there on a cosy sofa with a cup of coffee and listening to him ages... marvelous place! I do recommend to everybody who wants to know the real Florence.

I stayed 2 nights in September in a lovely large room. The location of this B&B is fantastic and there are some great restaurants just outside the door!
The owner was very friendly and helpful and offered great tips on places to see and eat here.
The breakfast was small, typical Italian style, but the freshly baked bread was a treat!
Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Our stay at Dei Mori was beyond expectations and review comments. Host is extremely helpful and attentive. Location is perfect and close to everything and yet quiet at night. Breakfast and availabiliy of coffee, tea, fruit and snacks throughout the day was appreciated and was the only b&b offering these services during our 3 weeks in Italy. I appreciated being able to have an early morning cup of coffee on terrace or sitting room before actual breakfast was served. Wine, beer and soft drinks available on honor system. I would highly recommend Dei Mori without reservation and hope to return in future. It is the perfect stay for a whirlwind visit to Florence.
