“Fabulous stay in Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2014

Hotel Azzi was a breath of fresh air for us. We stayed there for three nights this October and found nothing to complain about. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The employees incredibly helpful and the breakfast most satisfactory.
it's location in Florence means that it was easily possible to walk to all the attractionsThere are lots of good eating locations nearby.

Spend two nights at this hotel. The property is located very convenientely a few blocks from the dome and the train station Sta. Ma. Novella. Everything happens close to this place, but you will find reality is not what is shown on the hotel website.
On the day we arrived we were received by a man with no understanding of the word service. We had to bring our suitcases two floors without him even caring about helping my wife and my two daugthers , then he gave us this old room with a double bed and a sofa bed. The bed was fine but the sofa bed was mmore than terrible. The room was stinky, small and dark. There was no internet service and the lock didn't work well. We arrived at midninght so decided not to look for another place.
We complained until next morning and a very nice lady explained there was nothing to do with the internet and took us to another room available that was even a higher floor and the same look. We decided to move to other place.
Complimentary breakfast was very good and with a large selection.
We saw a lot of young people in rooms that shared a bath, so it suggested it is more kind of a hostel.
Would not recommend this place for people needing to keep communicated or for families.

Hotel is less than a 10min walk from Santa Maria Novella station. Rooms are very clean and good size for Europe standards.

Hotel offers free wifi and free breakfast. You can walk all of Florence from the hotel.

Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel is clean and staff are friendly , they booked a reservation at the Uffizi for us on the first night . No lift but there isn't that many floors and there can be a problem finding table space for breakfast . The main reason we booked this hotel was the proximity to the rail station and the attractions ,its also close to reasonably priced restaurants and bars. The Mercato Centrale covered market is a short walk away and is worth a visit or even a meal. So although it wont blow your socks off but its a very convenient and clean hotel if your arriving in Florence by rail.

Just stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and highly recommend it. Reception staff are really friendly and helpful and the rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast was great and there was plenty of choice. Location is PERFECT too. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Hotel Azzi is located on the lively street Via Faenza where there is lots of bars and restaurants and shops. It is in walking distance of all the major sights. Breakfast was predictable - bread, cheese, ham & pastries etc and tea, coffee & orange juice. Room was quite spacious, although our view was of another hotel room's window(!) and the shower was never really that hot. You get what you pay for.

This is an excellent hotel which is close to all the main attractions and public transport. We stayed here for 3 nights and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who spoke excellent English. He gave us a map and recommended to us the sites to see. Although the room was slightly small it was homely and the en-suite was clean. The breakfast was adequate and the smell which greeted you each morning made it more pleasurable. If you are expecting a high class hotel with all of the state of art amenities this one is not for you but if you want a room which is comfortable, clean , quiet with friendly staff which provides excellent food and which is within walking distance of all the tourist sites, shops, restaurants and bars then this hotel is an excellent choice. Would not hesitate to book this hotel again

Room Tip: would suggest staying in the main hotel wing
