This hotel is centrally located, only about a 10 -15 min walk south of the main Termini in Florence. We were a little early for check in, but the staff went out of there way to accommodate us. They offered us water and coffee while we waited. Once our room was ready, we immediately wanted to shower and unwind for a few. The room was beautifully decorated. There was a fresco with angles and heaven scenes on the ceiling and the walls were an antique white washed yellow. The room had this lovely ambiance and being in it transported us to old Florence. The hotel staff was super friendly, spoke very good English, had no problems with the wifi and the breakfast was awesome.

As others have mentioned this hotel is centrally located, close to the Duomo and close to the Ponte Vecchio. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed at Hotel Dal Borgo in early October 2012 for 4nights. The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Florence on foot, as it is only 5-10mins walk from the Duomo. The hotel has 3 floors of rooms, and we were on the top floor. Our room (68) was large, with a lovely bathroom and a separate lounge area (with sofa bed that we did not use), a fridge, and from the window we had a view of the top of the Santa Maria Novella. The room was kept clean and tidy. The breakfast was a simple affair, and the weather was good enough to allow us to sit in the relaxing courtyard of the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - they offered advise on places to visit,booked tickets for us to go to the Uffizi and to Gallerai Academia (essentail to avoid long queues), and recommended some restaurants (all of which were good). Florence can be quite expensive, but we booked the hotel a few months early, and managed to get a deal that we felt was good value for money.
There is so much to see in Florence and 4 days was barely enough to cover even the major attractions - take comfortable shoes :o)

I love this hotel and their staff. This was our first trip to Italy and our family of 5 were booked into this wonderful hotel for 5 nights. We were celebrating our Mom's 80th birthday. The rooms were large, beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The daily breakfest was wonderful and included a varity of foods including eggs, bacon and sausage. There is a beautiful outdoor garden area which was a lovely place to sit and enjoy a cup of cappaccino, beer or wine. During our stay, our Mom had a medical emergency, the staff was so wonderful and assisted with having a doctor come to the hotel immediately, He was very attentive & kind, arranging additional medical evaluation at the hospital clinic. They were so very supportive during this diffcult time and cared for us as if we were their family. Sadly her trip was cut short as she had to return to the states. We will never forget how amazing the entire staff was and we are so thankful. This is a wonderful hotel and we highly recommend it. Thank you for your thoughfulness and compassion.

We loved this Hotel for a number of reasons! Huge room, great breakfasts, friendly staff, centrally located to Santa Maria Novella Station, free wifi and very pretty. We will definitely revisit this Palace.
