“A typical oldish florentine style overlooking the city's rooftop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

My grandma invited my sister and I to Florence, we stayed in that hotel and here are our different thaughts:
Some of the rooms have beautiful frescos and the sensation when waking up in these rooms was delightful.
Location is perfect, very central and in a rather posh street.
Angelo, one of the receptionist was absolutely welcoming, helpful and agreable.
The fourth floor has a terasse overlooking the rooftops of Florence: great view!
Its a cosy, not impersonel hotel so its perfect if you dont like huge chain hotels.
However the breakfast was extremely disappointing, internet does not work except in the tiny bar.
If you dont like the proximity with the street, you may find it a little bit noisy specially in the late evening and morning.
Finally the style is oldish, and not a lot of young people stay here.

This is our 4th stay at the Tornabuoni Beacci and our 3rd Christmas there. We absolutely love the history and charm of this hotel. Gino and Angelo are wonderful hosts catering to your every need and question. Since our last stay the televisions have been upgraded and the WiFi is strong.

If you are looking for a modern, generic, sterile hotel do not choose the Tornabuoni. If you are looking for outstanding service, charm and nostalgia this is the place for you!

For the last few years we have stayed here in early December when the City is less crowded and getting ready for Christmas. It is ideally placed at the lower end of the Via Tornabuoni near to the Piazza Santa Trinita and only a short walk over the river into Oltrano. The hotel is delightfully old fashioned but with modern facilities. Remember always to ask for a bathtub if you want bath and not just a shower. The best rooms are on the top floor overlooking the back not the street. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms have WiFi. The breakfast is communal and adequate for our needs. Think of staying in a private house. It does not pretend to be a five star luxury hotel.

Room Tip: Top floor not overlooking the side street

We stayed at Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci in mid January. It is centrally located just 1 block away from Ponte Santa Trinita and walking distance to almost every sight. The staff was extremely accomodating and helped make our stay very pleasant.

While the hotel has all the modern ammenities you will need, you might find that it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more modern hotels. Nevertheless, it definitely has wonderful old world charm that will contribute to your Florence experience. We would recommend Tornabuoni Beacci without any hesitation. Enjoy.

Enjoyed the location and the hotel. Beautiful terrace with view of rooftops, great place to have a glass of wine. Breakfast was adequate. Easy walk to all areas of Florence, just 10-15 min walk to train station.

Great hotel. Centrally located to all attractions. We walked to Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, train station, etc. Close to train station. Beautiful area. Great restaurants. Great service. Huge rooms, even for Americans! Free wifi and breakfast. Will return.

The hotel is in a great location with tons of expensive clothing stores lining the street. The entrance nestled between a Tiffiany&Co. and Burberry. First thought is high class elegance but its a little more rustic and homey. The staff is helpful and attentive. The rooms are cozy with classical furniture but our room happened to be a little cold. The buffet style breakfast was adequate although limited in variety. Over all it was a nice place maybe its nicer in the summer time. The only complaint is room cold and no way to adjust the temperature.
