“A Touch Of Class!!! A hidden gem! No wonder it's Rated #1 of all the B & B's in Florence!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

It has been 3 years under construction and only open just less than a year! This old but brand new B&B has Old World Charm with Modern Amenities and 17 foot walls with real " 1865" Frescoes throughout!
The attention to detail was astounding. The sliding front glass door with 1865 etched within, the LED spotlight on the red flowers in the entry hall, the orchids, the dark "Wenge” African Hardwood Floors, the deep leather chairs, the cushy red velvet couches. Email & ask for "the junior suite". It's a wing with 4 separate areas within: the stunning white deep Claw Bathtub with sheer curtains & a sink, the big Travertine Marble 8 foot tall steam shower "Turkish Bath " could sit 3, the full-size queen (but Michel's replacing it to be a king bed) has a Garden View from the bed & tub and a 12 foot Frescoed Ceiling, the walk in closet & safe, cushy robes and slippers. And, it’s the only place in Italy with self-closing “quiet" toilet lids like in the US! There's beautiful Burrell in- laid Furniture passed down from generations, recessed & motion censored lighting throughout. Even the ac & bedroom lights can be controlled wirelessly. Loved the Italian breakfast plus a fancy espresso and cappuccino machine available anytime & he even had Decaf! Big bottled water in your room, free Internet & cognac at night! Great Parking garage and bike rental that made exploring this boutique city wonderful. Plus, next to the parking garage there was a fabulous little wine shop that sold us $3.00 bottles of wine. They were $80.00 in the states!!! You sipped & tasted & bottled your own wine!
I can't say enough of our fantastic, gracious, kind Belgium & Italian hosts, Michelle and his wife, Cimzia.
Four other beautiful smaller "rooms" are available and all with the same detail and with King beds!!! You truly couldn’t go wrong getting any room.
Truly, Truly, a Lovely Place To Stay. No wonder it's rated #1 of all the B & B's!!!!
I'll be back next year!

Room Tip: Every room is special & Unique. Quiet & Elegant! Email & ask for "the junior suit...

This B&B is a hidden gem in Florence. We stayed for 2 days and had a wonderfully time. The owners are very warm, frendly and helpfull people. They have taken an old city palace into the 21st century, thought about every little and luxurious detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated, perfect in balance. There hospelatity makes this place a seconde home. Michels eggs are world famous by now. Looking forward to our next stay.

This hotel made us feel at home. The decor is beautiful and luxurious, receiving attention in every detail. Bedding and bath high quality. Location excellent. Delicious breakfasts. And the best: the attention given by Michel and Cinzia, which far exceeded our expectations and made our experience in Tuscany perfect. It was without any doubt the best hotel in our tour of Europe.

This hotel has nothing to do with "sterilized" five star hotels in which one can stay. It is a marvelous and exceptionally renovated apartment and offers you the warmth of your home and the stay at a stylish and luxury place. The hosts, Michel and Cynzia are very warm people, do not make you feel like a client and they know the tips to tell you for the walkarounds in Florence, a very valuable service! The Henry James room where we stayed was more like a junior suite, offering a superb view in a great garden, and had a separate bathtub and shower room. The king size bed was so good and soft, you did not want to leave the room! The location is good too, as it is a rather quite neighborhood which however is on walking distance to the historic center, restaurants and other attractions which makes it extremely convenient. Totally different experience, exceptional place to stay and great people.
PS: definitely try Michel's scrambled eggs. A great way to start your day!

Truly an outstanding experience. As per the previous visitor reviews the room and common area are unforgettable. It is so well done all the way from the entrance on ground level, the stairway or lift up to the tastefully renovated level where the guest residences reside.

As for our initial impression we were warmly greeted by Cinzia who immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable in these wonderful surroundings. After the brief check in prcess she shared some of her favourites for eating, attractions, and shopping within the area. All of them proved to be excellent recomendations. Cinzia, a native of Florence, is a wealth of knowledge about the history and art of the area.

Our room was magical, looking out on a tranquil courtyard. The rooms are set up with so much thought for the traveler. Comfortable king beds, ample and well laid out storage for clothes and anything else you may bring or buy. The bathrooms are second to none, & everything was spotlessly clean all the time.

As for the breakfast, they were perfect; no need to look for anything better. Michel is a fine chef, using the finest quality ingredients of Tuscany. Each morning was a treat.
