“Good hotel with excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

We stayed one night as planned on a weeks holiday through Tuscany. Staff were very helpful. Car was vallet parked for us overnight and retrieved with 10 mins notice. (parking was extra but not ridiculous for the center of a major city). Room was typical of an old city location (old room but nicely decorated). Quiet room due to multiple glazing.

Staff even posted my trousers home to the UK, which I accidentally left in the room, free of charge!

An excellent breakfast - the best we had on our week trip through Tuscany.

Make use of the free booking service for the museums - saved a lot of queues,!

While this hotel will never be on your must stay list, for what we used it for it was perfect.

I'm at the airport now waiting for my plane back to the US writing this review do i will make this quick. First when booking the hotel they answered my emails ASAP so that was a great sign. I had them make reservations to the Accademia which was two blocks over and the Uffici after a book the hotel and skipped the line so you should do that. Second, the hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful who also arranged a bike tour for us with Filippo (great guide). Lastly, the breakfast was amazing. The cold cold cuts that was so good And the cappuccino was not your typical watered down stuff you get at some hotel. Before I forget from the hotel you can walk to everything. The only time we took a cab was from and to the Airport because it was raining. If you can afford the four season for $800 go ahead and book it I'm sure it's better but if your looking at a good place to stay which is not a motel 6 in Florence this is it.

I'm so happy that my husband found this hotel for us!!! We stayed at Il Guelfo Bianco from Oct 16-19 and it was perfect! It's walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Florence which is exactly what we were looking for. Upon check in we received a complimentary upgrade to a larger room. I was pleasantly surprised at how huge the room was which was great since we were traveling with our 2 year old. He had plenty of room the run around and play. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We spent four nights here and loved every minute. A great location to get around Florence, beautifully restored and decorated rooms, and a staff that is exceptional. Great free breakfast buffet helps. Highest recommendation!

Had an amazing experience at Il Guelfo Bianco. First of all, the location is the best - walking distance from the main train station and so close to all the cool stuff in Florence. The staff is also amazing - very helpful with suggestions and directions. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts were quite tasty. After a day or running around Florence and dodging the gaggles of tourists, Il Guelfo Bianco is a relaxing oasis. I highly recommend this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Il Guelfo Bianco in Florence, Italy. Firstly the staff are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The hotel had been renovated and expanded since I was there 10 years ago. There is old world charm infused with some beautiful artwork. The rooms are comfy and the complimentary breakfast each morning is to die for. The buffalo mozzarella they serve is as if it were made that morning! The location couldn't be better; it is just a stones throw from the Market and the Duomo. I would recommend this hotel for sure!
