we stayed here for 3 nights in late may, on arrival we were met by porter who immediately took our bags to our room, check in was smooth and easy, room was lovely , brightly decorated, en suite bathroom small and had plenty of wee freebies, shampoo, bath oil etc.. position of hotel is first class above Gucci shop and wall to wall with all designer shops you could mention, hard rock café 2 min walk away , lovely piazza with various bars restaurants again 2 seconds from hotel,,hotel staff very friendly and breakfast plentiful , would highly recommend this hotel as an ideal base in Florence

The hotel couldn't be more centrally located -- within walking distance to all the main sites on both sides of the Arno, and in the middle of luxury shopping. The rooms have been renovated and the service was excellent! All of the staff were also friendly and very helpful. Especially, Valentina, who did all that she could to make our trip amazing, from booking reservations at the Ufizzi and Academia last minute, to trying multiple restaurants on our list for dinner reservations. Many thanks!!!

This hotel has just been renovated and is located very centrally. Ten minutes relaxing walk to Uffizzi/Ponte Vecchio and even less minutes to Duomo. We found it very well priced with regards what it offers especially comparing to other 4 star properties in the city. Rooms are nicely designed if not too dark due to usage of black/gold wallpapers. They have wooden floors, comfortable big beds. However if you are light sleeper be prepared to hear some noise from outside even with closed windows. Depends how tired you are from sightseeing... The view was of the high end boutiques streets or the opposite building which was having reconstruction work going on so noise was noticeable as of early morning. Breakfast is continental, so do not expect hot items, however the rest is tasty with unlimited and very good cappucinos. What we would like to point out is absolutely excellent service. All ladies at the front desk we have interacted were fantastic and helpfull. Their restaurant recommendations were good and they made sure the tables were reserved for us as some places had just few places. Also breakfast room is very well serviced as well.

Room Tip: higher is better due to street noise

Great location, short walk from train station, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Republica, Strozzi. It was the same staff as our last visit 4 years ago which to is a testament to their dedication. All the staff did everything they could to make our stay so wonderful. From great restaurant advice to helping with our daily plans.

Room Tip: A little loud if you stay on Via Tournaboni.

For the most part, this was an excellent hotel. The rooms had obviously been recently renovated, and the bed was very comfortable (which is an exception in Italy.) The location was perfect, a short walk from almost any of the major sights and right in the heart of some excellent shopping. The only drawbacks were that there are 2 flights of stairs up to the level of the elevator, which is countered by them having a porter for your bags. Also the elevator is slow and incredibly small, such that two people and their bags will not even fit (and one person with bags would feel claustrophobic.) Also, the shower was even smaller than the tiny elevator and with an opaque door so I felt boxed in whenever I took a shower. The breakfast was decent, but nothing special and with somewhat fewer options than we saw at other similar hotels during our stay. I would still recommend the hotel because the room was lovely and the location cannot be beat.

So this was our second stop on our 2 week Italy experience !

Traveled with friends who had stayed here previously when it was The Albergotto.

We arrived by train via Venice...Going on my friends memory of the exact location with some road work being done ...found it fairly quickly. So a quick walk from the train station.

Hotel - Boutique style-Room- Large-Bathroom ,small shower-little Juliet balcony-very clean-bed -2 put together but I found this all over Italy-hard -no problem !Rm 30 right beside the linen closet so if you want complete quiet not the room for you.I did notice a room on our floor that had a private staircase probably a suite .

Staff -very friendly & attentive !!

Breakfast room -Very good Eggs made to order !and then the typical fair .

Beside the Breakfast nook is a large room (lounge)very nicely decorated..tip-they have a cabinet filled with travel books..thought that was a nice touch !It was in that room one night we decided we had had enough of eating out so picked up our own wine and found a little deli (grocery) and had a picnic dinner of cheeses, salamis, olives, breads .The wait staff in that room could not do enough for us providing plates, cutlery, even getting us another bottle of wine when we ran short.
They served breakfast as well ( wait Staff)and they deserve A Job Well Done !!!

Would stay here again ... I loved Florence !!!

We loved staying in this hotel. The room was really clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was in a great central location. The only downside to the hotel is to get laundry done it is really expensive (for underwear or socks its 3 euro which I could buy for that price tshirts were 8.50 euro). Otherwise loved staying here. Great wifi too
