For the most part, this was an excellent hotel. The rooms had obviously been recently renovated, and the bed was very comfortable (which is an exception in Italy.) The location was perfect, a short walk from almost any of the major sights and right in the heart of some excellent shopping. The only drawbacks were that there are 2 flights of stairs up to the level of the elevator, which is countered by them having a porter for your bags. Also the elevator is slow and incredibly small, such that two people and their bags will not even fit (and one person with bags would feel claustrophobic.) Also, the shower was even smaller than the tiny elevator and with an opaque door so I felt boxed in whenever I took a shower. The breakfast was decent, but nothing special and with somewhat fewer options than we saw at other similar hotels during our stay. I would still recommend the hotel because the room was lovely and the location cannot be beat.
