“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We discovered this little cafe whilst walking around Florence. We're not strict vegetarians, however the food looked great - and it was. Clean and fresh tasting. Great concept where you set your own table and return them back when you leave. We loved it.

“Good food, terrible service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

Walked in, no one was there apart from one table of customers. I sat down at a table and after four minutes another customer came in. The waitress came up from the kitchen and her and the customer started talking. I saw some pamphlets at the counter so I went and had a look. The waitress then took this opportunity to tell me that the table I was sitting at had been reserved. So I moved and read through the menu I picked up.

The food is good but you have to order at the counter and this is only made clear in small writing on the menu. So given that I came in and no one greeted me I could for all possibilities have not eaten that night. There are often long periods where the one waitress is in the kitchen so you have to wait longer to get food.

When the food arrives, it's pretty good. Not fantastic but it is nice, filling and nutritious. I just spent the whole time bitter that this sour faced lady had noticed me but didn't think to come over and say something let alone have a "reserved/prenotata" sign on the table. So not too willing to come back.

“Wonderful food, shame about everything else”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Visited with our two young children. We ordered a lot of different dishes which were served pretty much at the same time. All of the dishes were based on is a mix of pre-packed fake meats and cheeses, lots of seitan (wheat gluten), very good home made pasta and vegetables. There was some home made bread - this was excellent but there was not much of it.

A plate of antipasti was mixed vegan sliced sausages and cheeses. This was very tasty. Vegan ravioli stuffed with seitan and topped with vegan parmesan was excellent. The various seitan dishes we tried were good and the texture and flavour of the seitan was different from dish to dish.

Now our gripes. Firstly, we had to arrive at between 7:00 and 7:30pm. We could not go earlier. Alternatively we could eat at 9:00pm. Secondly, food needs to be ordered from a counter at the back. No-one told us this and so the whole restaurant had placed orders before we realised. Thirdly, when the food arrives you have to collect from the counter. Understand that nowhere is more than 3-4 metres from the counter - surely they could serve the food directly to customers. Finally, the woman working behind the counter was miserable and unfriendly. This is a shame as the food was very good. One dish we ordered with roast potatoes came with mixed vegetables instead - no big deal, it was still good. Now we know the ropes, we would certainly go again.

“Great experience - great food and amazing desserts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

It's hard enough eating out as a vegetarian, let alone vegan, so to discover a restaurant which is completely vegan, and so good, was amazing. The food was delicious and the desserts were absolutely outstanding. It was such a joy being able to chose anything from the menu. We also chose a great local vegan wine to accompany our meal which was again of excellent quality. It was busy so there was a good atmosphere. We loved it so much that we returned the next day.

“Fantastic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Loved the food here. The location was a little bit off the beaten path and it's a small place, but it was well worth it. I had the fresh pasta primavera and a desert and both were great.
