“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

The hotel is nice, clean and has a good location. The only two small problems are related to the tiny elevator and the breakfest. The elevator is quite new, but it only carries two people. The breakfest doesn't have fruits or natural food. The staff are friendly and the rooms are big enough.

The staff here made us comfortable and directed us to all the fun places to see. I will stay here again when we go to Florence. It is located close to the train station but remember there are 2 stations. We got lost when we first arrived but when leaving the staff showed us where to catch the bus, where to pre buy the tickets and looked on the computer to see which bus to catch staring when in the morning. They also have things to do " On the wall. I will arrange a cooking class next time I go. The rooms are clean and safe. Centrally located but again THE STAFF made this hotel stand out.

Room Tip: Any I bet.

Just days ago we stayed with friends in Florence at the Hotel Kursaal Ausonia. Between my wife and I we have had frequent visits to the city but never have we had such over the top, happy to help service from the entire staff! And not just happy to help either. They shared complete, untiring assistance and knowledge of the city from the very simple things as taxi's and bus schedules to inquiries on our behalf for many different items about which we didn't have a clue. Also, they have an understanding from a USA mindset things we may want to be wary of and how to move more simply through the cityscape. It was much like staying with friends who know the territory. Definite return here for us!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel provide an excellent view of the Duomo.

The hotel is well located. Lots of good restaurants and close to train station. Check-in was easy and staff is excellent. Breakfast was good. Rooms were small (as in local hotels in Europe), but clean. As our train didn't leave until later, the hotel had a baggage storage area that was greatly appreciated. Wifi kept logging off, but different settings had to be made on my iphone. Would recommend this hotel. We were four adults and had a double and a triple, but as one of the "triple" cancelled, they gave us the room at a double price.

Wonderful staff, excellent, great food and big dining area. Food comes fresh everyday for breakfast, they turned us on to an excellent tour company. Easy walking distance from everything. Bed very comfortable, nice room, great bathroom . Great natural toilet paper, wish I could buy it here. Round the corner a fab restaurant that we ended up going to every night. Will go back definitely.

Room Tip: If you want stay away from the street side which can get a little noisy. We didn't mind too muc...

The best part of the hotel was the nice and helpful staff. The rooms were ok even for Italy standards, the breakfast was also ok. We also had a problem with the door locking, the staff help us with the problem right away. Thankfully we didn't spend much time in the hotel. It was an easy walk to all the major sites and the train station.

7 Nights in Florence at this very comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel. We were on Level 3 in a room with en suite [ not sure if they all have them ]

We enjoyed the breakfasts, the very swish coffee machine made any style of coffee desired. The croissants and rolls were fresh every day. Much as you can eat works for me.

Well located within about 15 minutes walk from all the major galleries etc. Its the people who make this hotel a pleasure. Nothing seemed too much trouble, extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day [ Even Sunday ]

For the money excellent value.

Room Tip: Dont forget to ask for a plug in mosquito repelling device if you sleep with open windows like us...
