“An excellent choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

We spent 3 nights here, the situation is excellent, a short walk to most of the main sights, restaurants and shopping so easy to drop things off before going on to next place.
The room was comfortable, clean, nicely furnished, modern amenities, nice bathroom, free wifi. My only criticism being that it was noisy when you opened the windows as it gave onto a main shopping street and I like to sleep with the window open....however, perhaps rooms situated elsewhere in the hotel are much quieter and it's true when the windows were closed it completely shut out the noise.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful without exception and the meal we had in the restaurant was very good as was the buffet breakfast included in the price. Would recommend without hesitation.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not give onto the shopping street

Just returned from a stay at the Hotel Brunelleschi and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel to anyone. Its tucked away in its own little square which was a bit of a tight squeeze for the taxi (glad I wasn't driving)! The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the hostess at breakfast remembered our room number and coffee order after the first day!

The hotel is beautifully appointed throughout and the tower certainly adds to the attraction. We upgraded to a Deluxe room which overlooked the shopping street so you got a bit of noise early evening from the shoppers below which actually added to the atmosphere. Arrived to a chilled bottle of Prosecco in our room, courtesy of the hotel, to celebrate our anniversary which was really lovely and much appreciated. Hotel and room were spotlessly clean, bed was very comfy and the shower was fab. As someone who drinks far too much coffee I was impressed that the tea and coffee facilities in the room were replenished twice daily so no need to ask for extra at reception.

The hotel is in a great location, the Duomo is just round the corner and all the other sites are very easily walkable which means you can even pop back during the day to refresh or drop off any shopping you may have acquired. Having wanted to visit Florence for many years, I spent hours researching hotels and am so glad I choose this one. We had a fabulous stay and I would certainly return.

We have just spent 3 nights in this great hotel right at the heart of historic Florence. Staff are great and really helpful and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast buffet is excellent - certainly when included in the deal.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked OK, if a bit generic.
But the real highlight is the location. It could not be better, within a few yards of the Duomo and all the best shopping. We would certainly go back - preferably tomorrow.

We booked the hotel for my surprise trip for me and my girlfriend to get engaged and the service offered by the hotel was exceptional. I contacted the manager Claudio beforehand and he was very accomodating and helped us to book the restaurant for the evening of the enegagement and even kindly offered us a free bottle of prosecco in our room! This was a very gracious offer.

When we arrived we were met personally by Claudio which was a very nice touch, the room was spacious and immaculately presented, and even though we were next to a busy high street the windows were completely sound proof. The location of the hotel is spot on, a stones throw from the Duomo and all the main attractions.

Also a special thank you to the staff in the restaurant who were very helpful. The food in the Saint Elizabeth restaurant was absolutely stunning, the suckling pig was the highlight.

I havew to say when we return to Florence we will definitely use the hotel again.

Room Tip: We went for a deluxe which was spacious enough for 2 adults

I stayed at the Hotel Brunelleschi for a long weekend and cannot recommend it enough. The location is bang in the centre of all of the sights/shopping that you want to experience in Florence and from the moment my friend and I arrived - the friendly staff could not do enough for us. I must mention Mario, Beatrice (front desk) and Matieo (from the restaurant) as we had experience with them personally and they were just fabulous. The rooms are quite small but very clean, modern with all amenities and the hotel is beautifully decorated. Breakfast has a great selection and the room customer service when we needed some more milk, was quicker than Usain Bolt.
I will 100% return to Florence and 100% stay back there again.

Room Tip: If you are a heavy sleeper - the rooms overlooking the main street will suit you. If you are a light...

Talk about location! The hotel is only a block or so from the duomo. That being said, it is in a car free zone so it is very quiet which was a nice surprise. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We upgraded to the duomo view room and was it ever worth it. The room was well equipped and spacious with good wi-fi signal. The bathroom was fab! They have the best shower ever!! Would definitely go back if ever in Florence again.

Fantastic hotel, very friendly & welcoming . Right in the centre. Beautifully decorated & modern. Bed extremely comfortable.
Can be noisy at night though if you back onto the Main Street, especially if you arrive before April because the air con isn't on in the rooms so you need the window open as it is so hot. Breakfast served everything from fruit, meats, cereals, pastries & English breakfast ( Italy's take on an English breakfast lol). Please be careful using the toaster as it is rather dangerous & takes forever.
Don't let these things put you off though as it is a great hotel and these are trivial comments. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the management put a lovely bottle of prosecco in our room which was a lovely surprise. Wished all hotels are like this one. If travelling into Pisa airport take the coach outside to the right of the terminal , only costs 6 euros each and takes you into the centre of Florence . Trip takes approx 1hr 15 mins.
