“Centro Historico Florence out your door.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

The joy we had at coming to Florence cant be expressed. As we pedalled into the cobbled streets, we held our breathe to see our hotels exact location ( one block from the Duomo) and quality .We were welcomed at the door with fresh juices and many hands to store luggage, bikes etc. Staff was friendly and check in efficient, and while we stood out in our biking clothes amidst the suited business men, we were made to feel welcome. Our room overlooked a super quiet inner courtyard and had all the nice amenities you would expect. Breakfast was a dream and location meant Duomo, Uffizi, Mercato Centrale and all sights were easy to walk to and that you could go back and forth from hotel to sites or shopping as required, rest and go out again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room. Views don't matter as you will be out all day anyway.

We had a business trip to Florence and selected M Gallery as I am the member of Accor club. This hotel has excellent position in the city. Important hystorical places, and also congress center, are located 5-10 minutes on foot.
Hotel is not too big, but is very comfortable, clean and quiet. Restarurant is very nice, and service is very good. Rooms are very clean, very comfortable and quiet.

The hotel is well located within walking distance of the train station, Uffizi, Academia, Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio. It is also close to restaurants and shops and definitely a very safe area. The elevators are a little small so only maybe 2 people with luggage at one time. The breakfast room is large and the food pretty decent. The staff were pleasant. Our room was small but it was very clean. We had a great view from our room and really enjoy our stay

You walk in and the stench smacks you in the face (about like a bad public restroom). The front desk staff are pretentious like they run a five star hotel, and they're really not all that knowledgeable. The room we stayed in wasn't even finished (our properly maintained I guess you'd say), cracks in spots the desk looks likeit was never put together properly molding missing etc. .. Some reservations include the continental breakfast (like ours) some don't, so you get asked every day while you're trying to wake up what your room number is (the breakfast isn't all that good either). Been here 3 nights so happy to be leaving (the hotel, not the city). Pros... Location, beds are soft... And that's really it.

Stayed two nights in February. The positives are really good location within walking distance of the Uffizi, Academia, Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio. Well placed for restaurants and shops and definitely a very safe area.
Public areas in the hotel are limited although the small bar area is pleasant. The lifts are inadequate for the size of the hotel, so much so that I always used the stairs to access my room on the third floor.
The breakfast room is a bit oppressive as there are no windows.
The staff were pleasant.
My room was small and the furniture dated, although it was very clean. A major problem for me was the fact that the room was extremely hot, the only solution was to have the window open all the time. Fortunately this was not a problem as my room looked onto a small inner courtyard with a not very pleasant view of the fire escape.
Sadly I would not recommend this hotel. If the rooms are updated it would improve the situation.

Dear Guest, we would like to inform you that, like any other review we receive, we placed extreme attention to your comment for which we would like to thank you. In particular we would like to thank you for your appreciation of our location, our bar and our staff.

With reference to our lifts, we are aware that they are not particularly spacious; however we always point out that ours is an old building built at a time when lifts did not exist and that were added at a later time, using the little room available. That said, they could have indeed a better functionality.
Last, but not least, most of our rooms do not have an amazing view over a garden, a lake, an ocean or a park. We are simply located in the heart of an old city filled with old narrow streets, old buildings, churches and the likes. That leaves little room, if any, for views of any particular attraction. We do understand some expectations but at the same time we have to be realistic and face the fact we are literally surrounded by other buildings that "block" any kind of attractive view.
We would like to thank you for your time devoted to your review and to read our reply and hope to have in future the pleasure to host you again. Kindest regards.

Location is really good, quite near to almost all the places we wanted to visit in Florence. Lots of cafes and shops in the area, so quite convenient as well.

Wasn't really impressed with the room at first, but it's actually quite decent.

But what made our stay at the hotel memorable was the quality of the service! The staff at the front desk, I think his name is Alberto, was very friendly and helpful. He gave us recommendations on places to see and where to eat, and we even talked about football as well. (He was a football fanatics apparently!)

Overall, was happy that we booked and stayed at this hotel during our trip to Italy.

Stayed 3 nights. 8 mins walking distance from Firenze FMN station, not very close but very convenient to main attraction e.g st. Maria church. Room is small but with a large openable window. I stayed at the 4th floor so can have some view over nearby low buildings. With escalator so you don't need to worry your luggage. Breakfast is fair but I feel it's comparable with most hotel in Italy. Recommend it as there are lots of restaurant and attraction nearby, within 3 mins walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful.
