This is one of my favourite spots in Florence. I love going up there just a little bit before sunset especially in winter. The shop has some great unique presents and 'cures' - they have a great cream for arthritis sufferers made from bee venom (!) - it's great. The church itself is wonderful inside - it's like it hasn't changed since mediaeval times. Highly recommended. One word of advice, if walking up from Piazzale Michelangelo, cross the road at the zebra crossing by the cheap looking cafes - the one further up around the bend is extremely dangerous as the cars go flying around the bend.
