“Church with a view”

Well, for a start you get a stunning view of the city from here and there are benches from which to enjoy it. Zeffirelli's family tomb is just outside, too. The church is beautiful inside with a wonderful mosaic apse and muralled walls. It costs 2 euro for lights and with that you get a history of the building too. A place of peace.

“Remarkable”

This is one of the finest and most remarkable churches in Florence. Open till about 20:00 and allow enough time to enjoy it to the last detail and also with free admission

“Very good views”

Great views and a short walk from the nearby piazza , not much to see inside , can't see why this is no1 sight in florence but maybe only for the views.

It's a climb that is rewarded with a great view. Lovely exterior. Sadly, it was not open when we visited last week.

I was impressed with the architecture - particularly its old world charm and stately presence. Merely reading about it does not do it justice. You must come and see it!
