Hotel Casci helped make Florence an enjoyable experience. The hotel is on a main street , but the rooms are quiet and well set out for the price. I stayed in 7 hotels in Italy during a five week vacation and this hotel provided the best value for your money.
The staff was particularly helpful and the breakfasts were good. The location is also good. The lobby served drinks, beer and soft drinks at all hours. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
This was by far our favorite hotel in Italy. Reason being that the staff were just so friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, big and clean. The location was excelent - very close to markets, duomo, ponte vec, shops etc. Breakfast was fun (we met someone new everyday) and the complementry internet and the wash by the load laundry facilities was just so helpful to us. Thank you Hotel Casci!!!
I spent three nights at Hotel Casci. Even prior to arrival, Paolo helped me to make museum reservations, enabling me to avoid long lines at places like the Uffizi and the Accademia. The hotel has a great location near the Duomo. My room was quiet and the air conditioning kept me comfortable in the hot weather. Staying here was very much like staying at a bed and breakfast: Paolo and company went out of their way to make me feel welcome in Florence. Additional perks: the library of guide books at the front desk and the computer for internet use.
The stay at Hotel Casci was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Florence. As the previous reviewers have mentioned, the Lombardis are fantastic, but I am surprised that no one mentioned Pierpaolo, who arranged many of my reservations for hotels, etc(via email) and was always available with recommendations for restaurants and things to do, especially in terms of Florentine nightlife, something that I have rarely found at B&Bs. The breakfast is wonderful, and Signora Lombardi always remembered how I liked my coffee: pretty impressive for a hotel with 20+ rooms. The location is ideal, and the price is very reasonable...highly recommended!
