“Perfect location and value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

There are many hotels in central Florence but I choose this based on previous TA reviews - and they were spot on. The location is quiet but less than 5 mins walk from major attractions and a supermarket. The friendliness of the family running the hotel is great (thanks for the cappucino Mama!) and their willingness to help with information makes things easy for a first time visitor. Breakfast was varied and filling with interesting touches such as prickly pear one morning. The rooms are compact and spotlessly clean with a small fridge; they are just as they appear on the website. The wi-fi was reliable and easy to use (for me a first time wi-fi user). Excellent value for money

Room Tip: All are excellent and quiet at night.

We stumbled upon the hotel on arrival from the train and we are very glad we did. Reasonable rates, delightful family staff who were friendly, welcoming and helpful and a great breakfast. Clean and basic rooms. Small bathroom but good bath and a really good breakfast where you felt waited on- excellent atmosphere!

Its a few blocks away from the train staton. We were able to walk it in just under 10 minutes. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of the building. A old tiny elevator awaits you and will fit 2 people who travel light only. We had to take separate trips with our big luggage. We were greeted by a tall friendly young man who spoke fantastic English. Our room was nice and clean. Nothing fancy about this place. The décor is dated for sure. Simple Tv in the room and a DvD player. I think they have a bunch of dvds you can ask to use. We never checked but I heard they do. The bed was 2 single beds pushed together which can cause for a uncomfortable sleep if you and your partner like to sleep close. The shower was just a head in an open tub with no walls. Very spacious room though and clean. Free Wifi. Breakfast was alright with some options of cake, cereal, bread and meat etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tall gentleman at the front desk was a great help always. The hotel is located in a great spot just a couple minutes from the duomo and a few minutes to the museum where the statue of David is. Overall, a pretty good place to stay for the price.

Room Tip: Good for the price but not a luxurious place. Clean and safe.

Found the hotel on a Trip Advisor and loved it. I was only supposed to stay for 3 days but stayed for 4 more. I didn't want a chain and this fit perfectly. My room was clean and comfortable and had free wifi. I always pushed the breakfast hours but they were so accommodating. The family that runs the hotel is absolutely delightful and attentive.

I know this hotel doesn't have a very high star rating but I found that even though the single room was very basic and I struggled to open my large "hard shell" suitcase and still be able to open the bedroom door the staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for me. The complementary continental breakfast was a fabulous addition.

Hotel Casci was recommended to us and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Excellent service-staff coud not have done more for us. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice and soft boiled eggs cooked to order. We had a comfortable , quiet room. Location was brilliant, within sight of the Baptistry. Buses available outside but many attractions within easy walking distance.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Casci we were made to feel like old friends returning. We could not recommend this hotel enough if you are new to Florence or even if you have been many times before and are looking for a change. It's so close to the major tourist attractions like the Duomo, has free wifi, breakfast included and a DVD player in the room (just ask at the front desk to browse through their huge DVD collection). Best of all each time we returned to the hotel we were greeted with a smile, a welcoming word and asked how our day was. Well worth checking out and we will return if ever we are in Florence again! Thank you so much for creating such wonderful memories for us of a city alive with culture, spirit and generous people.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 14 facing the inner courtyard. Very quiet, had everything we needed.
