“great place for us”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

It is not a spa, it's a renovated convent w/long sunlit hallways and adequate facilities. Great central location between Duomo and Accademia. The Lady running it was so nice-couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We arrived at breakfast 40min before they were scheduled to start-so we planned to just leave and buy something on our way-but she insisted we just start with what was already out: cappuccino, cereal, rolls, plenty! Pretty bowls and cups. Puts you in a great mood.

We just got back from a 5-day trip in Florence. The room was big, very clean and nice. Bathroom en linnen were impeccable. The Italian family who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful with whatever question we had. In the morning there is a nice breakfast buffet where you can eat as much as you can. The location was ideal: only a 3-minute walk from the "Plaze del Duomo" , lot's of nice and good restaurants close by as well as musea and shops. If you're looking for a good price/quality hotel with a good location: don't hesitate, hotel Casci is an excellent choise.

This hotel had beautiful fresco ceilings in the breakfast room and bar. The staff were wonderful. Thanks to them, we had an authentic firenze meal with locals when we asked for a lunch recommendation. Very clean, spacious, quiet rooms and just a close walk to the Domo, central market and train station. Definitely, worth a visit again.

Really well located and the family running the hotel are so helpful. Really lovely, clean and quiet hotel in a street literally 3 minutes walk from the Duomo. Excellent value for money. Do not be put off by the old fashioned lift or the lobby way downstairs as the hotel is welcoming and the rooms are a fair size and spotlessly clean. The owners speak impeccable English and are extremely knowledgeable about Florence. Excellent value for money.

Nicely family run hotel that is centerallly located to both local tourists attractions and shopping!

Only about 10 mins walk from the train station, Paolo and his family were very warm and helpful with travel advices. Their recommended places to eat are superb and must try!

The rooms are adequate with a bathroom. No complaints since you will be out most of the day and return only to rest.

Will definately return to stay again!

we stayed here in march ,my wife and two children ,ages 10 and 12. the location is great everything is close by! this is a truefamily run/"mom and pop" hotel. though when you first walk in the staircase is a little dark, but once upstairs you are welcomed like family! as everyone says the rooms are spotless and good size ,we were in a quad room, the breakfast was hearty , but the staff is what makes this place, so gracious, after coming back from an afternoon of sight seeing paolo had a small batch of family dvds in English for my kids! their restaurant recommendations were spot on and they even got our tickets for the academia, and the Uffizi, this will be our go to in Florence in the future!

I stayed here in March 2013 with my family. The hotel was superb value for money. It was located a stone's throw from the Duomo (a highlight - must see) and the Accademia in particular. The rooms were clean, quiet and a decent size. The hotel staff were welcoming and kind. Breakfast was mostly cold (with the exception of eggs always boiled to perfection and toast) and the dining room cosy.

The towels were sheet-style so they didn't feel desperately indulgent but they did a good drying job. Ladies, the hairdryer was pretty weak: if you have thick or long hair, consider taking your own.
