“Helpful, English speaking staff”

We arrived around 7 AM from taking an overnight train, and the kind woman running the place let us into our rooms early! We just paid extra for the breakfast. They have a huge collection of guide books you can borrow. The room was nicer than the lobby. The lobby is a little cluttered.

Room Tip: Room 4 has a wonderful bathtub!

Our group of 3 adults stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Casci in September. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff. The rooms were clean & quiet (my 2 most important requirements) & the breakfast in the morning was superb. If you walk out still hungry it's your own fault as they had a lovely selection of food at the buffet. The location was perfect! Within an easy walk to everything Florence has to offer. We often would return in the afternoon to freshen up before heading back out in the evening. We definitely didn't have a view out our window, but the single person in our group did have a slight view of the Dome. We didn't come to Florence to spend a lot of time in our hotel room anyway so it was OK. The Hotel Casci is a lovely, small hotel and when we return to Florence in the future we will stay here again!

My husband and I really liked this place, most of all for the staff. The older lady and young man who run the hotel are really lovely, sincere people and made us feel very welcome. The location was also as good as it gets - a short walking distance to everything in central Florence including the Duomo and the train station. The accommodation itself was no frills and the hallways smelt a bit like methylated spirits but that was okay by us.

I asked for a quiet room and got exactly what I asked for. Room 12 was perfect for me on my own. It is small and so might not be large enough for a couple with two or more suitcases, but it overlooked a quiet courtyard and seemed not to admit much noise either from the corridor or the public rooms in the hotel. The staff in the breakfast room and at the desk were all extremely helpful and very friendly, and always seemed prepared to do that little extra to solve a problem or answer a question. Finally, the location is terrific, within minutes of all the sites, but without being on a busy or noisy street. I will certainly book in here again.

We stayed here for three nights and found it the ideal base for a Florence visit. The hotel is situated right in the centre of things, the personnel are warm and helpful (and speak good English), our room was quiet and spacious and had some great features -- elevated space for not one, but *two* suitcases (Why don't more hotels provide that?), a bath, a magnifying mirror, a recharge station, three English-language TV news stations, hooks to hang jackets . . . -- and the breakfast was super: fibre! protein (eggs)!

A trip to Florence to me means not only art and architecture, it also means Hotel Casci. Located just a few blocks from the Duomo - the train station - San Lorenzo, the location is perfect. But there is much more offered here than the location; always a welcoming smile // clean quiet rooms, a limitless breakfast of wide variety. I do highly recommend the Hotel Casci.

We booked two rooms for us and our two grown children. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They served a wonderful breakfast each morning which included a large selection of fruit and pastries. The lady in charge of the breakfast remembered us each morning, including what we liked to drink. The location was wonderful as we were able to walk to all of the attractions. When we checked out of the hotel, one of the family members ran downstairs to say good-bye. We would definitely return to this hotel!
