My family and I stayed at hotel Casci for two nights in August 2012. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel is amazing. It is just down the street from the big Florence cathedral and a very short walk to the Academia. We found that the hotel front desk workers were very helpful giving directions to famous historical sights and landmarks and the best restaurants in the area. We loved the fact that the hotel was family owned. One of our favourite things about the hotel was the old elevator. It gave it a real nice vintage Italian feel. The breakfast they served there hit the spot and the staff really went out of there way to make sure we enjoyed the meal. For example, they made special hot chocolate just for the kids. The rooms were nice and big but our only problem was that the rooms seemed kind of dated, just like the rest of the hotel. Despite that we loved it at the hotel Casci and it was a great place to stay in Florence.
