“More Magnifixcent Than Expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Quite long queue (about half an hour towards the end of the day), but well worth it. What a magnificent piece of art.

“Michelangelo's David”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

The real thing is at the Academy and is stunning - be sure and buy tickets in advance - on line - and you will not be in a line that stretches around the block.

“masterpiece”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

This is definitely worth seeing at least once in your lifetime. The rest of the museum is nice, but the real reason to see the Accademia is David. Even though photography wasn't permitted, everyone seemed to be photographing for a good 10 minutes before security stopped them,

RESERVE YOUR TICKETS ONLINE AHEAD OF TIME. With our reservations, we only had to wait about 20 minutes. Alternatively we would have been waiting in queue for a couple of hours. Time was limited in Italy, and we wanted to explore--not wait in line!

“Truly an amazing work of art”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

The statue of David was really incredible. I have seen photographs of it for years, however standing in front of Michaelangelo's masterpiece was truly amazing. Is you have the Firenze card, go see this!

“Awesome...”

The "David" not the fake David by the Ufizzi was tremendoues. The staues walking yo to the "David" were also very interesting and had many interesting stories about them.
