“You need to see it.”

Not much of a museum person but this is worth going to. Buy VIP tickets in advance and you go to the front of the line which could be two hours!

“If you do one thing in Florence--SEE DAVID”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

This statue takes my breath away every time I see it. It is as if David is alive. There is a reason why it is so famous. It is a masterpiece. Please honor the signs if you go that say no photography. It is important for all that we keep this magnificent work preserved.

“Amazing work from an amazing artist”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

We went to see the David and we skipped the line buying online, we saved about an hour of queue.
The statue is amazing and steals the show from the whole place. It's so perfect, veins and muscles seem more than real. You can sit and stare for half an hour admiring each detail of it.
Don't know why they don't want pictures taken, that let's down the majority of people. But a must see in Florence.

“A most impressive statue!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Though we had seen it before, we still did not want to miss the opportunity for another look at David. It is such a pure, beautiful work of art that no one should miss it.

“Good Stop for a Quick Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

David is really what you pay to see in this museum, but cost is only about 6 euros for admission. It takes less than an hour to see the whole museum unless you are really an art enthusiast. Get there early in the morning as close to opening as possible to avoid waiting (or book online for tickets in advance).
