You come around the corner and there he is. Magnificent. Even if you think its only a statue, you will be amazed how big he is and the size of his hands. We loved the visit

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Must do. Breathtaking. Make an appointment so you can limit the time you wait in line. Even though we had an appt we had to wait almost an hour to get into the museum. The other lines were much longer.

“Don't miss....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

The highlight of this gallery is the Statue of David, but there is so much else to see as well. I recommend that you hire a private tour to avoid wasting time waiting in line to get in.

“Book ahead and get there erly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

All that has been said is true, and more. The line is long. They open at 08:15. If you get there before 08:00 you are going to cut waiting time to a minimum. Also you get to be inside for the first hour before it gets crowded. The half finished sculptures are amazing, you can almost feel the figures braking out of the stone. Don't leave Florence without getting there!
