“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Slightly away from the centre of Florence but very impressive. Some of the most important people in Italian history are buried in the Church, lots to see, some very impressive paintings and structures. Definately worth a visit.

“Nice Renascentist works”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

You can find here lots of important people: Michelangelo, Macchiaveli, Galileo Galilei, Dante Aligheri.
Capella Pazzi is also very nice, precisely the ceiling with the constelations.

“heaven for history buff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

A little improvement with the newly decorated chapels. Still with leather school and manufacture. Great frescoes and crypts of famous people.
Outside square is surrounded by leather stores catering to tourists with inferior quality leather at highly inflated prices.

“Very Interesting Church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

We were so surprised and amazed at the history in this church. Walking through the church is a trip through history. It is a beautiful church and we enjoyed touring the basilica. We would highly recommend anyone coming to Florence to be sure to visit the Basilica of Santa Croce.

If you want to see where all the famous people are buried just visit this place. This is the place where Galileo, Michaelangelo, Donatello just naming a few are buried. A very interesting place to see.
