“Easy to not go in but do”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

With everything else to see, it may be easy to skip going in. Don't. Takre some time to make a visit and see this as part of the total Florence experience.

“Great View from the Tower”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

If you have a chance, climb to the top of the tower - it's a workout, but the views are fantastic. A great spot for pictures.

“So Much History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We did a tour of the de' Medici secret passages a few years ago, this was great & well organized. We have again recently visited, never get tired of this city, by the Arno.

“go late and have it to yourself!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Do yourself a favor and check their website for hours or stop by and check when you are in Florence. The Palazzo Vecchio has specific days when they are open until midnight which is when we went and it was great! First of all it's a great way to force yourself to stay awake if you're suffering from jet lag and of course a good way to get another sight into your sightseeing day. Second and most important, we only saw 2 or 3 other couples the entire time we were there - felt like we were the only people in the Palazzo! In a city that so often can have multiple hour waits in line for museums and feel overcrowded with your fellow tourists take advantage of this after dinner opportunity. We really like the interior too, lots of interesting statues and paintings. it was fun to see how the rich and powerful lived.
