“go late and have it to yourself!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Do yourself a favor and check their website for hours or stop by and check when you are in Florence. The Palazzo Vecchio has specific days when they are open until midnight which is when we went and it was great! First of all it's a great way to force yourself to stay awake if you're suffering from jet lag and of course a good way to get another sight into your sightseeing day. Second and most important, we only saw 2 or 3 other couples the entire time we were there - felt like we were the only people in the Palazzo! In a city that so often can have multiple hour waits in line for museums and feel overcrowded with your fellow tourists take advantage of this after dinner opportunity. We really like the interior too, lots of interesting statues and paintings. it was fun to see how the rich and powerful lived.

“The centre of political power...and a portrait by Michelangiolo?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

An interesting building with the famous "Salone dei Cinquecento" and the unique Studiolo.
Is by Michelangiolo the hidden portrait engraven on a corner of the building? Decide by yourself...

This was a nice tour, giving you a glimpse of Florence history. We went up the tower which had great views. It is a bit of a walk but worth it!
