“Florentine Affair”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

Medium sized hotel near a park not in the center but within easy walking distance of the center of Florence.
Staff was superb caring and attentive and the best breakfast with a garden view.
Accommodations excellent and atmosphere so great that we could have just stayed inside for long periods of time.
The restaurant was excellent and they went out of their way to even open up for us a half hour earlier so we could make our reservations at the opera.
We were definitely "spoiled"

Room Tip: Our room faced toward the park and we would recommend that view

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. While the staff were helpful and the breakfast was very good, we didn't like the location. It was too distant from the old town and the walk was quite tiring when we had to shop and walk to the hotel to keep our stuff and then walk back to the old town again. And the rooms were small and quite dated. We would choose another hotel in the old city Center for our next visit to Florence.

We decided spontanousely to have lunch in the Relais Le Jardin restaurant (we couldn't sit outside in the nice patio with the beautiful lemon trees as it was heavenly raining).
Elegant setting, classy, very professional, attentative and perfectly trained service.
Sophisticated, international menu - we had the oven baked catch of the day with artichokes (seasonal vegetables), tremendous!!! As well the cheese selection for dessert and all the other courses. (We loved the delicious olive oil and the fresh bread / grissinis etc
Surprisingly there were almost no other guests, but we were quiet late for lunch and it was the week after Easter.

We stayed at the Regency for three nights in June and found it perfect in every way. We were warmly welcomed and offered both a fine breakfast and very early entry into our room after flying through the night. The concierge is particularly attentive, taking considerable time to help us with local traveling arrangements and making sure we were comfortable in every way imaginable. The breakfasts are lovely with fresh fruit and fresh-baked croissants, along with a variety of other foods (including traditional American fare). The location is quiet, but walking distance from all parts of Florence. We will certainly return.

Room Tip: Even the least expensive room is beautiful. The location of the hotel is on a quiet, predominantly...

This is a fantastic hotel in a lovely location with superb staff on hand to help. The Duomo is a pleasant 10 minute walk away; it overlooks a lovely green piazza which enables a peaceful nights' rest.
Breakfast was a wide choice to suit most palettes. Can't comment on the resaurant as we ate out but the menu looked appealing.
Our tickets for the musems were booked for us - a great queue buster!
Thank you for our lovely stay

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the hotel's garden so was quieter than the front of the hotel.

My husband and I spent the main part of our stay in Italy at the Hotel Regency. Alessandro and his staff were amazing!!! They were so friendly and helpful. They made our stay so pleasant that I hated to leave. Alessandro booked tickets for us to the Accademia Gallery, he booked restaurant reservations, printed out our boarding passes for our return flight, sent someone to the train station to purchase our train tickets.... There was nothing we could ask that wasn't handled with a smile and with great efficiency. The hotel itself was a little slice of heaven. The room was extremely comfortable, clean, and we had a nice view of the park across the street. The hotel was beautifully decorated, and they served a wonderful breakfast every morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I look forward to returning someday!
