“Top art museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Without question one of the top art museums in the world. If you don't like art museums, you won't think much of it. If you like art museums, you'll spend hours, if not days, walking through. As with a lot of the art in Florence, a lot of what makes it special is the historical context in which it was created. So bring a guide book when you go so you understand what you're looking at. If some of these paintings were done in the 1700's, no one would have been beautiful paintings. Done in the 1400's and 1500's, they are revolutionary.

“Worth the wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

The most difficult part was waiting on the line to get in, maybe it is worth buying tickets online. But once you are in so much excellent art you will feel like you are flying.

“The Renaissance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

What can I say, definitely the best museum in the world as far as the Renaissance, you can find everything from Leonardo to Michelangelo and all the other painters and sculptors and no. Divided into themed rooms, great views from the terrace of the bar and if there nor the opportunity visit the Vasari corridor. For art lovers.

“A must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Bought tickets in advance to avoid the queues and even with reserved tickets had to queue for a short while.Visited primarily to see Botticelli's Venus but there are so many other masterpieces to see depending on your taste.A vast building so plan your visit or you will be walking aimlessly.
