“Memorable Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Came to dinner here on Saturday with the memory of my excellent dinner on Thursday earlier at the 2-Michelin star L'Olivo (Capri Palace Hotel) still fresh. Glad to write that Tre Panche stood its ground with its robust and sincere cooking, and a cosy and warm ambience.

Started with the chianti flavored chicken liver pate. Got ambitious (or greedy?) and ordered 2 truffle-based mains: the ravioli and the veal milanese. Ended with the absolutely delicious cheese cake.Total bill including a prosecco was 75 euros.Agree with other reviewers that this is not cheap. But when I viewed it in the context that the Tre Panche meal still managed to leave an impression when compared to a 2 Michelin star (and priced) meal, then conclusion is that Tre Panche is value for money.

“Charming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Great service and wonderful food. I ordered the truffle ravioli and my husband ordered the steak tartar with truffle a bottle of prosecco and the total was 75 euros. The only problem I had with this place was the price (i think we had been spoiled being in umbria). But from what we have experience florence is just an expensive city. They do have other items on the menu that are cheaper that do not have truffle that look delicious.

“The best food we had in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

This place is pure class. The service is top notch and the food was the best of the restaurants we dined at in Italy.
The truffle-based dishes really stood out. I had the veal fillet with truffles and my lady had the ravioli with truffles. Both were amazing. The richness of the truffles was almost overwhelming as they are particularly generous with them! As opposed to most "fancy restaurants" where the addition of truffles means either a couple of shaves for $$$$ or truffle oil. I also got the macaroni dish and that was delicious as well. The wine recommendation was perfect; I pretty much let our server decide for us and he did not let us down. The prices are, I feel, a good value. The food and service are terrific. This is not a cheap dinner place but I don't think it is overpriced at all.
This place seats about 18 people maximum and pretty much operates on reservations only (unless you get lucky) so definitely reserve in advance.
Overall, highly recommended.

“delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

It's definitely one of the best. You can eat amazing truffles disches but not only, you can olso choose between a variety of simply delicious combinations.
The atmosphere is both greate and particular. The place is really small: just three quite long tables that you usally have to shere, unless you are a group of frieds.
The restaurant is quite expensive between 40 to 60 euros per person but i racommend it to anyone who really want to taste something unforgetable!
Do not miss my favourite selection: "spaghetti al pesto di pistacchi e orata", "tartar di tonno" and the best cheesecake ever!

“We didn't get it, expensive, average quality, bad value.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

We had high expectations based on the recommendation from our host and the reviews here. We were looking very forward to trying the famous 'Bistecca alla fiorentina' which is supposed to one of the best steaks in the world. The restaurant is incredibly small but its quite charming once you are seated. We asked for a beer to start and they only had one litre bottles (originating from a small town near Lucca). The beer was incredibly bitter especially when we saw the price of 15 Euro.

We expected to be able to choose the size of steak each but they told us that the smallest they had was 1.2kg to share. The steak itself was quite good, but absolutely nothing special, the quality I would expect at a chain steak restaurant. We ordered one of their cheaper wines which was good but not good value. Overall we were presented with a bill for 100 Euro which considering we had no starters and no desert was the worst value meal we have had for a long time.
