“Lose the shower curtain”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

I stayed in this hotel as part of a Contiki tour in August 2013

The Room - Firstly we had booked a twin room. They hotel booked us in for a double assuming that we were a couple. Our tour manager tried to organise as another room but the reception couldn't change us. Then they said that the beds are just two singled and were made as a double. They couldn't send someone up to our room to change the bed sheets from a double to twins. Our tour manager when up to our room herself with the sheets she got from the reception and changed it for us herself. If you look at my room photo that's why the beds where made all messy and rushed.
The bathroom was very small. The shower was very badly designed. I couldn't have a shower without having the shower curtain stuck to me the whole time. You would have to be a very skinny person to be able to have a comfortable shower here.

Keys - This hotel didn't have keys. Instead they gave us a 6 digit code to remember to enter the room. So I had to remember a 3 digit room number but also a door code. This was very hard as we were changing hotels every second night and it was hard enough to remember our room number.

WiFi - The WiFi was free and worked really well when everyone wasn't using it. I managed to use Face-time for a while during the day.

The hotel - There was a fridge at the reception with basic snacks and drinks that you could purchase which was great. I think there were 2-3 lifts which was confusing because it was always a surprise where you would end up. It was good having more lifts, as we were a big group and we could use different ones.

Overall I didn't like this hotel just because of that shower. All I can think of is that shower curtain making it nearly imposible to shower

Overpriced for what it is. Staff were unhappy and clearly overworked. The only benefits were a bed to sleep in and the cleaning standard.

We asked for a quiet room, obviously I don't expect it to be that quiet, but we were woken up repeatedly throughout the night, both nights. The walls are very thin, so you can literally hear everyone around you snoring too.

The bathroom was tiny, I am small and only just fitted on the toilet seat..!

It was also in the middle of nowhere, we went to the restaurant roughly opposite (there is no where else around) and that was pretty poor too :(

My advice is not to stay here unless you have to..

It is a very good hotel and very cheap. Stayed there a few days and was very nice the bed was a bit uncomfortable and the bathroom small. The breakfast was marvelous and very fresh. Staff very polite and willing too. The bus stop for the city center is outside the door.

For little people only, as the bathroom is tiny and you can hardly fit in the shower, yes it's really that small. If you just want a good laugh, stay here anyway just to see it. The bathroom also floods as it's that small and the ikky shower curtain sticks to you like a dog on heat.

Rooms are clean however, so no complaints. Breakfast is bland with what tasted like stale cornflakes. Wifi is free which is a bonus, but VERY VERY SLOW.

The hotel is about 15 minutes by bus ride from the main train station, but still within the city, and the price is just perfect for a hotel in Firenze.
The room was small but cosy, with a balcony. The bathroom is really small, but enough for a short stay.
Breakfast is extra, not included in the price, and it is not the best value, but ok.

It has now been the 3rd time that I have stayed in this chain of hotels... Once in Udine and I tried this one as well as the B&B City Center in Firenze...

I have to say that they have one of the quickest check-in processes that I have encountered around the world, their IT system is superb... once you are in the system, you never need to show your passport, ID or company name... They have it all and in 3 clicks they check you in and issue your invoice.

The staff has always been very positive, helpful, professional and easy going... They have the best reservation system, which keeps your room booked till 7pm of the day of arrival, without the need to enter your credit card details and you can cancel your booking free of charge till 7pm of the day of your arrival.

Add to that very competitive pricing, clean rooms, a modern style of furniture and a colorful interior of all of their hotels and you have a winning combination.

Truth to be told the single rooms are really small so if you can book a double for single use and you will be well of. Ah, have I mentioned that free wi-fi in all rooms?

Highly recommended...

Room Tip: If you can, book a double room as the singles are kind of smallish..

The hotel is very close to the station which is great for travelling around. The rooms are clean and cosy. The staff are great and speak good English. They let us keep our bags before and after check inand check out. Breakfast is delicious.
