Eighteen months on we have returned to Mulino di Firenze to find the staff holding to the same high standards set at the time of our initial visit. Despite the difficulties Europe is experiencing high quality operations such as this must maintain high standards but like everywhere else tighten the belt. It is a difficult balancing act. We have some experience as former tourism and hospitality operators, and are if anything more likely to find fault for otherwise minor discrepancies or shortcomings. These days we are retirees and constantly on the look out for value for money. So whenever the smiles and warmth of welcome are genuine, and the quality of services delivered are consistent, there is no area about which we have a complaint. This is important because we have referred others to Mulino who will soon visit Florence and we would be disappointed and very surprised if they came away unhappy.
