GREAT Hotel, Great Location. We arrived in florence by train, Walking distance (5 MINS) to Hotel from Train Terminal and thats carrying 2 suit cases and 2 carry on's.The reception was very helpfull and answered all our questions. The rooms were decent size and bathroom was decent size considering we stayed in a standard room.wifi worked great. Didnt have any problems loading up videos online or social networks.Breakfast was also nice. You are walking distance from everything even mini market's. Highly recommend Hotel Orologio.would stay here again on next visit.

Lovely hotel, great location. Stayed for two nights in early July, had I think a fairly basic room, the America. Room was well appointed, nice and cool. Bathroom was a tad small if I was being critical. Really friendly front desk staff, breakfast fairly standard but fine. Overall hotel had a nice feel, calm from the heat and bustle outside. All in all would definitely come back and stay here again.

We stayed two nights in a deluxe room on the 4th floor including breakfast. Rooms feel small and dark. The Wifi coverage was dismal although free. Breakfast is served in a bright, airy hall and pretty standard continental fare - nothing to shout about. The front desk is very helpful with restaurant recommendations, sights etc. Biggest plus point is its location, within walking distance from everywhere.

Dear Guest,
we would like to thank you for posting your review on TA about your recent stay at L'Orologio Florence.
We are glad you enjoyed our location, the staff and panoramic breakfast hall.
We kindly ask you if you have time to let us know by email more details about your room since we do not have deluxe room on the 4th floor and expecially because our deluxe rooms are among the largest and bright with spectacular views of the Duomo or the Santa Maria Novella Square and Church .
Kind regards from Florence

Very noisy

I was looking forward to this place and wish I'd paid more attention to the complaints about noise. The first night, a wild, mid-week party started after midnight across the street. The desk clerk called the police, who came about two hours later, and put me in another room.

Unfortunately, the second room was also noisy (thin walls, plus traffic outside), topped off by a mosquito who got in the room. It sounds like a Marx Brothers film, except that I paid top dollar not to sleep. The manager took 20% off the first night, which given the disturbance and the high prices struck me as a meager effort.

The hotel is clean and well situated and the staff are polite, but the bottom line is: can you sleep? Other reviewers have made similar comments. Be forewarned!

Dear Guest,
I am very surprised to read about this review after we kindly have a nice polite conversation about what happened during your first night. Our staff immediately did his best to solve a problem calling the police and offering you another room than you decide to come back to the original room. In the morning I immediately contacted you to express my personal comprehension. I know as hotel we did all we could to manage that situation but I thought was also nice to offer to you, as a plus, a complimentary meal (lunch o dinner) in our hotel. Unexpectedly you asked not to pay for the entire night which was of course a not proportional request for a noise of 1 hour and half among other things, without any responsibility by of the hotel.
I repeat I'm surprised and I'm sorry you wrote here on Trip Advisor you can not sleep in this hotel since you stay with us 3 nights and you have been able to verify that what happened on the first night was a unique episode and it was an event not depended from the hotel.
We hope to welcome you back again in our Hotel
Kind Regards

This hotel is simply incredible...great location, within short walking distance to all attractions and the train station; the plaza at night is great place to finish off you evening or if you are in the mood, the bar is great; incredible restaurants are all around.

The hotel décor is very chic, the staff is very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is very good. The gym is an additional plus.

Do not miss this gem when in Florence.

A friend and I just completed a 3 night stay at Hotel L'Orologio in Florence. The hotel was an absolute delight. Where do I even start...
The location -- right in the Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and just a 5 minute walk from the train station. Perfect! Loads of great restaurants nearby.
Front Desk -- the staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help me when I had to get some documents scanned for work.
The room -- nice and spacious, extremely clean, very quiet, very effective blackout curtains, and a lovely bathroom.
The bar -- fantastic bartender who makes a variety of cocktails absolutely perfectly.
Gym and sauna -- hard to find hotels with a gym in Florence, so this was a real treat.

You can't go wrong with Hotel L'Orologio. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Florence!

My husband and I took our first trip to Europe and picked all of our hotels based on Trip Advisor reviews. How thankful we were to find ourselves at Hotel L'Orologio. Such a lovely property, immaculate with excellent service. I had asked for a room with a view of the Duomo, and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite. We opened the windows to be treated to a spectacular view of the Duomo. Then we discovered that we had a terrace from which we could sit and listen to the church bells ringing all over town in the evening while overlooking the rooftops of the city. It is one of our favorite memories - so much so that we are returning next May for a longer stay. The room itself was lovely, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom beautiful with all its marble. The locaiton is perfect - quiet, yet walking distance to everything. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place in Florence. It is truly a gem.
