A little off the beaten track, this is a good restaurant with good food, great choices, and good but not overbearing service. It's a little pricy for its location but not enough to prevent me from going back.
The one negative is that an otherwise excellent waitress became distracted when a friend came in with his dog. Her attention turned to them rather than to her customers. I guess this might be par for the course, but it was a bit obvious.
I'd certainly go back, if only for the hot chocolate cake with vanilla sauce. Also the chicken liver pâté on toasted Tuscan bread.
